Well, zombie infection is coming. If you remember, gameloft had a demo at GCD 10.it might have been the one level that was completly done and they are working on all the other levels. Its up to the devolopment team to release screenshots and gamplay and i guess the team just isnt ready yet. My guess is this is coming next month
there's almost as much of a chance of them adding multiplayer to this game as there is of John Leguizamo not being gay
I just hope you're right... I've been looking forward to this a lot since announcement, and I'd hate to see this be abandoned. Plus, after showing it off at GDC, I don't think they'd just ditch the game without some sort of announcement.
I hope im right to. The game looked pretty polished in the screenshots. I dont think it would suddenly be cancled after months of hard work. Gameloft didnt offically announce when it is released so as far as we know the game could be right on schedule. I bet some info will be released in the next podcast. Ask them about it via twitter, they seem to be preety good about answering tweets. anyway i bet capcom is working on RE5 for ipone/itouch/ipad
If I had a Twitter account I would. But I don't. I know people who know people though, so I'll see if I can ask them anything. If anyone here has a twitter, see if you can get any updates at all about this game.
Hi, Really, it is not important to know who the person is, just kind of silly to equate the odds of a company adding a feature to whether a person is gay or not. Just a bunch of rubbish and someone wanting to take a cheap shot at Gameloft and an actor they sound like they do not like. Totally offtopic and now back to the topic of the thread, hopefully. David
Now let's see what happens to their HALO, Modern Warfare, Soul Calibur & copies of other long running franchises. The iPhone has become too legit a gaming platform to ignore... Especially by legal teams. May be time to put some real creatives in charge at Gameloft. There must be someone with an original idea among it's army of developers.
From the graphics, this game looked pretty much finished. Not sure why they're holding up onto the release though.
Maybe they are holding off for that new resident evil movie.. Or did that already come out? Last I saw they had a 3D trailer going around, but I have not seen it come to the movies yet.
If you're thinking about Degeneration, that came out last year. There was also a game that went with the movie on the App Store as well, so that definetly isn't the reason.
I thought it'd actually follow the storyline of the games like Degeneration did, but it's another one of the stupid movies that have almost nothing to do with RE other than zombies and Nemesis. I don't think they'd wait for that. It's not Capcom that's making the game (even though GL and Capcom are working together), and even then, I'm not sure if Capcom even has a part in the making of the movies. That's most likely not the reason it's being held up.
Capcom may not be making the movie but i'm pretty sure they still own the rights to the name(franchise of resident evil) I'm sure that with such a great movie coming out they may have decided to tie both the release of the movie and the new game together to attract more people to look up and find it in the app store. Of course I could be very wrong about this all and I have no facts to back this up, it is pure speculation. Regardless of who is making the game (Gameloft & Capcom , Or just Gameloft) I believe it would be in the best interest of sales to release upon the day Resident Evil: Afterlife comes out in theaters. To which day I am not sure when that movie is coming out. Edit: release for Afterlife is September 10th 2010 Source - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1220634/
