Maybe capcom and gameloft are working together to make it more like a resident evil game, more then what people are saying would be a res 5 rip-off
I doubt it has been canceled but I wish Gameloft would just release this and Splinter Cell. Both were set to come out already with Zombie Infection supposed to be a March release (I already brokedown and got the 360 version of Conviction, cool game BTW). Gameloft have announced a bunch of new games and done some Ipad ports, but the only 2010 Iphone/Ipod Touch game they have I recall is Rayman 2 and even that is a N64 port.
You do have to wonder if Capcom (who already partner with Gameloft on other mobile platforms) had a "talk" about them about the similarities with RE5. I was surprised that it wasn't even mentioned in the most recent podcast.
So true, the first level I guess was exactly the same as re5 and nobody has ever heard gameloft themself actually say anything about this game at all so if we get it then great but I don't see it happening.
As you know, I fully expected for this to come out soon -- but after that podcast, I'm starting to agree with you...

Dont worry zombie infection is coming. Gameloft wouldnt release screen shots then not release the game. The probably just decided to keep quite until splinter cell is out and they will release a gameplay trailer as soon as the game is polished to near perfecction. Dont worry its coming.
But then they announced like 3 other games, and even have 2 of them planned for release. This game was announced WAY before Iron Man 2, and it doesn't have anything more than screens, while IM2 has a gameplay video and set release date. Man, ZI hasn't even been mentioned for about 2 months now, considering that it wasn't in March or April's podcasts. Plus, they also announce Prince of Persia.
True. I do remember in one of the recent podcasts that gameloft won't release a game until they are 100% happy with the game performance. For all we know they could be tweeking the performance for this game or making it possible to run on the ipad universally. We need to all sit tight and keep our fingers crossed the game will eventually see the light of day. If not I'm sure it's only a matter of time before capcom starts porting over the full versions of RE from the PS1
That's what I've been hoping for since the App Store became such a big gaming market. Resident Evil has been a long time favorite of mine since I started playing it, especially the older ones. Seeing that they're making games like The Warrior Within, I don't see that as impossible anymore.
