Hmm, there was a thread on this topic somewhere. A guy said he wasnt able to repurchase a refunded app on his device as he was getting a popup information which said he is not allowed to repurchase it once it was refunded. But he claimed that he was able to repurchase it through iTunes, iirc.
Hmm if that really is their new policy, shouldn't they be warning people when they ask for a refund because a game is buggy? Dumb policy to have altogether.
Maybe they think w that policy less people will seek refunds. I have only done it twice and this game won't be the third. Gonna stick it out for better or worse it's not like I paid 50$ for it that would be different.
Not if people aren't aware of the policy when they ask for the refund. Telling them after the fact just prevents them from buying it again when the kinks are worked out.
It will be nice to see a developer here now to bring some light in what turned to be a pathetic mess... We have the right to know if there will be any updates to bring us an end. If they want to make it F2P it's fine by me, I won't loose my time with that and really I don't care, for what I paid I just want to finish the game.
Oh well it's not like this game was any good. Even if it were to add classes and content flying saber through a maze isn't fun
That's a really stupid policy. What if a game didn't work at all with an iOS version or a device that wasn't specified in the description but was later updated to work? There are a lot of legitimate reasons someone may repurchase something. I can understand them not allowing a second refund (which is exactly what Google Play does) to prevent people from just buying, playing it a bit, refunding, rebuying, refunding, etc. But to prevent rebuying once a game is fixed is kind of pointless. Limit refunds.
I guess my question is whether that means the next episode will be free or an IAP because I'm not sure what's here is worth the $9. But I am glad to at least see them respond and respect that their time for this game is far less important than recovering in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks. I'm going to refrain from a refund and support their efforts.
So people are entightled because they have an opinion? Maybe I'm the kind of person that doesn't mind large game files because of voice acting and likes Japanese with subtitles. Maybe my game didn't play subtitles and now the options is locked. But I guess you're to busy being a dick to think of that.
Just checked Apple did change their policy I can't repurchase. Stupid policy since I would've bought it again if game was fixed but that's fine. I rather play square enix RPGs than this. Wish all the best to the devs and to the people who didn't ask for a refund
Yep. Really stupid policy. Like I said before, it would make sense to limit the refunds for a game to just once to prevent abuse. But if you got a refund because the game was broken then why shouldn't you be able to rebuy it when it's fixed? That's just killing profits even more for devs who work to resolve problems. I'm sure most people aren't aware of the change (I wasn't).
I wonder if the repurchase policy is on the version but to be honest all this hassle has turned me off from the game. I'm going to move on to this war of mine on discount.
Very disingenuous to have released a partial game without specifying that the ending is not complete. I was very high on the game, but had not reached the ending. The app description was pretty misleading, they should have specified the items that were not going to be part of the initial release (such as friend invites). I will say, for an 8.99 feature incomplete game, the new content releases better be free...
Hey, that was me, i posted it under the General Topics Board. The way i was able to repurchase was doing it on a different pc after reinstalling iTunes and logging in my account. For the life of me, it wouldn't let me repurchase from the same iDevice. Hope you can find a pc and that you can work around it like me.
i hope they can adress the battle sound issue. If there is no impact sound it makes those battles really not fun for me
I have seen this pattern before. 9 times out of 10 it is a developer going to the grindstone and not having the resources to manage PR. And they can't manage everythingit's not realistic. Remember even ten dollars is very little compared to console games and the budget for these games is much lower. I'd rather have them get to work on the fixes because that's the real damage control.
