Voice acting. It's essentially an actor that only talks into a mic at a sound studio rather than 'on set', used primarily by animation studios since animations don't really talk on their own. Also used a lot in video games since the early to mid 00's. Imo Japanese VAs are far superior to English VAs, especially the ones that get hired to do a dub of a localized Japanese game. Tales of Zestiria is a good recent example that had a dual audio release(JP and English): the Japanese voices are all high budget names who do amazing jobs with tone, mood, etc, when speaking whereas English VAs (half of the English VAs that worked on ToZ are so unknown they don't even have a wiki page!) are usually lackluster performances as voice acting is seen as a second-rate job for Hollywood washouts. Same problem occurs with dubs of anime in English. Chaos Rings 3 had an all-star cast of Japanese voice actors for almost every voiced character in the game and Western fans and reviewers were still complaining that it didn't have shitty English VAs!
Is there really no chance for this to come out to the rest of the asian countries? Coz at this point i think it's pointless to check this thread out for me.
So I just unlocked the last job, Sage. Yet I still haven't encountered and recruited Dag! Am I doing something wrong? I went to the Old Road immediately after saving the King and Queen at Vermillion castle to get the 'last' job unlocked and figured he would've been on the Old Road, but nope! So can anyone tell me when/where Dag is recruited? I have a feeling the end of the game is approaching but I'm not sure. Is finding the Geckal King really the end of the story thus far? Pray tell me it isn't, because it feels like I've barely explored the world... I really hope the Paris attacks didn't affect Kobojo in a bad way..
No ending, also as many stated above and in my opinion, the game feels unfinished in terms of story and combat mechanics, music and sound. I hope the millions of gold, which were fun to farm, will have some utility after future updates And if this will change into F2P crap for those who haven't purchased it already, I think it will affect the premium owners a lot; when MC5 turned into fremium, those of us who purchase it as premium were only spared by timers, with all the new added cool stuff being unfairly priced. I really hope it won't be the case with Zodiac
Haven't reached the end yet, but I am overflowing with gold. It's sad that when I go into town there just isn't much to buy. Isn't there supposed to be over 200 weapons? Doesn't feel like it -- at least to the point I've gotten in the desert.
Bad news After finish this area, you need to wait for updates because says "more content coming soon" having to wait to finish the game I do not like much
Well I was happy that I found out about this and posted it up on the CR3 thread as it seems it wasn't advertised at all to the English audience. I guess it's to be expected. That's probably one of the biggest all star Japanese VA casts I've seen. Though to be fair they didn't have a huge amount of lines. But there are battle voices and everything. The director/producer of CR3 is incredible. I'm pretty particular about English VAs but I do really like the VAs for Persona 3-4.
I have a feeling this game will convert to f2p. I hope the devs can confirm if the updates will be free or is thins turning into a F2P kinda game. I enjoy the game and hope they fix this and provide the other classes
Personally I think it's disgusting that the devolopers put the game out for 9 bucks with no indication it's not finished. That's SUPER misleading and at a high price too, with a lot of content missing.
I like the game but only three classes to choose from at the moment I was hoping all 12 would be available. That why it smells like f2p down the road
Not sure why anyone else hasn't mentioned the Official site for this game, but here's a couple posts I read there that made me very uneasy. Make of them what you will, I withheld the posters name. 1. After how you handled the gold furnace and lied to people about the jackpots in Mutants Genetic Gladiators, I would strongly urge people not to get sucked into another of your games only to have you both lie to people and cheat them. 2. I was more just saying anything produced by this company, no matter how good the game is, isn't even worth trying because if previous games from them are an example they will bend you over and do terrible things after they get you invested in the game. The game actually looks great, a real old school squaresoft feeling to it. But unfortunately I know how this company work so I wont waste my time giving it a shot. Can't wait for people a year from now to come back to this post and be like wow, this guy was dead right. My heart sank when I read those. I wanted to give Kobojo the benefit of the doubt but it doesn't look like they're even answering here anymore. I had such high hopes for this game, and since reading the above quotes and this thread I haven't even bothered to continue playing.
This is very concerning indeed if they decide to go f2p I will never support this dev again but in the meantime I will give the benefit of the doubt this is a great game I just hope they finish it and add the other zodiac classes.
That's still a hot steaming load of bulllllllshit. It advertised a lot and it's missing a LOT of that. Also it's being sold for a lot, $9 which is a lot of money for a premium game. And the devoloper said nothing on it being incomplete
But why? I mean, it's not even a question, it's a fact that content is missing, 9 classes it seems, and it's far shorter then is advertised. The devoloper to the best of my knowledge has said nothing on the game being incomplete. If they have something to say, they need to say it now.
If they don't reply to the missing classes or incomplete ending i will assume the worse. What they produced so far is good and let's hope they finish it off ASAP
