I failed since I decided to add in a much needed feature.. since the gameplay is simple, it lacked replay-ability, and hence lacked some form of achievement or objective system. I think it would be better to put this in now than later. I didn't want to put in plain game center achievements since those are boring. I wanted something somewhat challenging, something that can reward the player, something visual, and doesn't require in-game currency and in-app purchases. Thus, I added a "human head collection" in the game! You basically play through the game, and each human you turn into a zmbi gets his head added to your collection. Filling up a collection with heads gives you a slight advantage. e.g. giving an additional zombie at the start of the game, or prompts you to encounter more brains. You'll need to collect 600 heads all in all to get everything complete. gambitph Well-Known Member Aug 22, 2012 97 0 0 Game Developer Philippines #3 gambitph, Nov 3, 2012 Zmbi has been accepted and will be out on November 8! It will be free on that day and will go to it's original price of $0.99 afterwards! Zmbi will be FREE for 2 days! Thanks all! Primoz Well-Known Member Aug 14, 2012 2,075 0 0 #8 Primoz, Nov 6, 2012 Great to hear! Will this game have any IAPs? SteakfryOne Well-Known Member Nov 6, 2012 94 0 0 #9 SteakfryOne, Nov 6, 2012 Looks cool! Slightly reminiscent of a game by the name of 'Zombie Tsunami,' in which you endlessly run devouring people as you go. gambitph Well-Known Member Aug 22, 2012 97 0 0 Game Developer Philippines #10 gambitph, Nov 7, 2012 @Primoz Nope this won't have any IAPs, I personally don't enjoy playing a paid game then the game still tries to squeeze money from you by forcing you to grind levels. @SteakfryOne Believe it or not I just found out about Zombie Tsunami a week ago! I see the resemblance with the game being endless and the amount of zombies you have are your lives. ZT is more jump-and-avoid-falling, while Zmbi is more of swipe-obstacles-since-they-can-kill-you Anyway, I enjoyed the heck out of Zombie Tsunami and finished all the objectives (spoiler: bummer that the objectives just loop back to the start after you finish them all, I wanted more!) The game is out now! Get it while it's free! Suggestions for updates are welcome ofcourse, let's make the game better! I don't know... gambitph Well-Known Member Aug 22, 2012 97 0 0 Game Developer Philippines #12 gambitph, Nov 7, 2012 Yes it's the time zone. It's already live in the App Store in the Philippines SteakfryOne Well-Known Member Nov 6, 2012 94 0 0 #13 SteakfryOne, Nov 7, 2012 Okay, thanks. Can't wait for the release here! Primoz Well-Known Member Aug 14, 2012 2,075 0 0 #15 Primoz, Nov 7, 2012 Congratulations on the release I though at first that this is a cheap rip-off from zombie tsunami, sorry :/ But then I saw that the game mechanics are totaly different. Let's see if it's in the US store already. Primoz Well-Known Member Aug 14, 2012 2,075 0 0 #16 Primoz, Nov 7, 2012 Last edited: Nov 7, 2012 Yup, just downloaded it and I'm loving it so far. I always though that the bigger obstacles are "heavier" to lift. Anyway you should add some classic "jetpack joyride" style missions, I think that would add a ton to keep the player busy. Collecting heads is neat, but it can get boring. Here's another suggestion. You should add statistics, like: games played, furthest run, hours in game spent, most heads collected, most humans killed etc. Edit: here's a useful tip: when you get over 4000 ft just swipe up to remove obstacles, because you're moving fast they won't fall down in time and removing obstacles this way is way faster. Guess whos first on the leaderboards Current score: 9670 gambitph Well-Known Member Aug 22, 2012 97 0 0 Game Developer Philippines #17 gambitph, Nov 7, 2012 @SteakfryOne: Alright it's now out in the US! @Primoz: Good idea on the 4k ft. Actually the larger items were initially heavier, but after 2k ft they get really really hard to lift. Lemme do that to make things easier during the later part of the game. I will add stats and TONS of objectives in the next update for sure! I want to add some kind of slightly different gameplay once you reach farther distances, since because the further you go, the faster the obstacles kill you.. and I think this would easily bore things since there's a natural limit on how far you can go. I dunno about this though as I cannot think of anything to add. I'm not too keen on adding scattered power ups since those are too common.
