This game is really worth trying. The satisfaction of finding the solution to each puzzle makes you feel like a genius. Bravo!" -- Nathan "Very unique game! Coming from someone who's tried many puzzle/logic games and tired of the similarities, it's very refreshing to see a new take. Relaxing music, no ads. Gameplay really makes you think and try many different configurations before reaching the solution. Clean, minimal graphics. I highly recommend giving this game a try if you have any interest in logic/puzzle games." -- Rebecca "These little gems are rather like solving chess problems, so if you possess good ad hoc spatial manipulation skills, you will likely find these puzzles to be straightforward challenges. If not so gifted, you'll still have a good time banging your brain against the boards. Well worth a go." -- Wilyem So what are you waiting for? Download this now and give it a try, you will love this truly unique puzzler. Information Seller:Ground Control Studios Genre:Puzzle Release:Apr 21, 2017 Updated:May 16, 2021 Version:10.0 Size:12.7 MB TouchArcade Rating:Unrated User Rating:Unrated Your Rating:unrated Compatibility:HD Universal Hello guys! Welcome to the thread for ZHED! This game is all about puzzles! It is based on a simple mechanic it builds onto increasingly complex puzzles that challenge you to a level you would not imagine. No timers, no clocks, no stars and no tricks, just pure puzzles for you to enjoy. It's the perfect brain-teaser that lets you train focus, concentration and memory You can see how it looks on the video below (it is short ) So, does ZHED works? Tap a square and select a direction (upwards, downwards, to the left and to the right). See how the square reacts when they intersect with each other, and build a path to fill the goal square. When you finished, the next level will show up! You can undo moves or restart levels as much as you want. How many levels are there? There are currently 5 free level packs with a total of 100 challenging and curated levels. We have a couple more packs ready, but we kinda want to see how people react to these. We want to make sure that difficulty and overall balancing is adjusted. How to save my game progress? Make sure you are connected to internet, and your progress will be saved automatically (iCloud required on iOS)! And I believe that is all for now. How do you guys like it? Any things I should look into? Thank you checking out this thread and for the C&C julienangel24 New Member Apr 22, 2017 3 0 0 #2 julienangel24, Apr 22, 2017 Woow, this game it's really good, level super hard, and really good concept. Would you like that on the game? @currymutton: Thank you for your support, I am happy you enjoyed our game. Would buying more levels be a nice thing to have on the game? Cheer currymutton Well-Known Member Oct 16, 2008 4,430 1 0 #8 currymutton, Apr 26, 2017 Certainly, I do! pandapando Member Feb 3, 2017 24 0 0 #9 pandapando, Apr 26, 2017 Cool game! I'd pay for the levels, but in my case, I'd rather pay for the game instead of the fremium model anyways. Just my personal preference. groundcontrolstudios Active Member Jul 18, 2016 29 0 0 Portugal http://www.gcontrolgames.com #10 groundcontrolstudios, Apr 26, 2017 First of all, thanks for the feedback About the rev model, I get what you are saying. We would love to just make the game premium, but we fear that having to pay from the start would drive away users, since a less lot people would play it What would you guys feel about a "pay x to unlock full content" or something of the sort? Like if the current version was a free demo, but if you wanted the "full" game, you'd just buy it (unlock it)? Would that work for you? kzakkkk New Member Apr 27, 2017 1 0 0 #11 kzakkkk, Apr 27, 2017 Hi there, at first, I really wanna congrats for the excellent work on ZHED. Really, I really love this game, once again congrats, simple, really really challenging (I wonder how the level designer did think on this levels) ahaha. I don't know the "right" model to this game, there would be people who would pay for this game, others wouldn't pay for the game. I don't think there is a right model for this. BUT thanks to the game being free, I had the opportunity to test this game, and become a super fan, and for sure I will buy the next level packs (if it is a good price). But once again congrats really, I think everyone should play this game, at least test, to see how hard and so fuc***g challenge is this game! Congrats! danlin New Member Apr 28, 2017 1 0 0 #12 danlin, Apr 28, 2017 Hi! Just recently begun playing this game and I'm over the moon addicted... I'm truly lost for words. Well crafted, smart mechanics, challenging (without making me feel dumb). It's probably in my top 5 best puzzle games (and I do love my puzzle games ). Also the fact that it's free helps because I can try it out without restrictions. When do you intend to launch new packs? I'm interested. Megatoad New Member Apr 28, 2017 1 0 0 #13 Megatoad, Apr 28, 2017 Loving the simplicity and pace of the puzzle mechanics. It's definitely something I haven't seen before. Get's a bit tricky after a few levels but the fact that I can take my time on each challenge is very relaxing. Great work, overall -- badmanj Well-Known Member Mar 16, 2009 1,886 24 38 Software developer Reading, England http://www.underground-collective.com #14 badmanj, Apr 28, 2017 Last edited: Apr 28, 2017 Love the game and mostly it's pure logic to solve, however sometimes you don't need all the pieces to move, to solve the level. For me I'd rather this not be the case; it's like some pieces are there just to confuse. I'd rather it always be a pure logic problem without these false leads. Also I do hope you guys make some money from this but I think just pay for hints isn't going to work so well - many people, myself included, just won't take hints. Be good if, say, the first X levels were free then pay to unlock the rest or something like that. I'll buy extra packs when they're available, to support this but would hate the devs to get despondent in the meantime! groundcontrolstudios Active Member Jul 18, 2016 29 0 0 Portugal http://www.gcontrolgames.com #15 groundcontrolstudios, Apr 28, 2017 Hey Guys, Thanks for all the great feedback! We are really happy that you are enjoying ZHED! @badmanj: While people enjoy the game and playing it, we will be on high spirits to keep building more levels Also, we keep on improving ZHED and fixing small bits and pieces, so, keep an eye out for updates on the appstore! eugenemcardle Well-Known Member May 21, 2013 357 9 18 Retired, Math/Science Teacher, Air Force Electron Redcliffe Queensland Australia #16 eugenemcardle, Apr 30, 2017 The only time I have found a 'spare' piece is when there appears to be two possible pieces that can reach the target, when in fact, only one of them can. This occurs when two pieces are in line with the target. It adds an extra level of thinking. I love the game, and once it clicks, it's amazing. I hope there will be more. There is another similar game, I just can't recall it's name. It just didn't click or me. I will have to find it and try it again, now that the penny has dropped. groundcontrolstudios Active Member Jul 18, 2016 29 0 0 Portugal http://www.gcontrolgames.com #17 groundcontrolstudios, May 1, 2017 We questioned ourselves about spare pieces for a while. In the end we thought we could design levels that were more interesting to solve if we had those extra pieces so we went with that. Like you mention, it adds an extra level of thinking, it's like an uncertainty factor that needs to be incorporated into the puzzle solving technique. The levels probably don't feel as "clean" this way but that's something I think we ended up embracing instead of battling. We tried to add those extra pieces mostly for additional possible finish pieces but in some levels we also added pieces to create symmetry in the shape formed by the blocks. I don't think we ever added a spare piece to a level just to add confusion outside of these two categories (if you find one, let us know).
