Of all the pinball tables other then sorcerers lair and avengers since their free, would you guys consider the best one to buy?
My all time favorite in Infinity Gauntlet. Other great ones are Epic Quest & World War Hulk. I know some people really like Return of the Jedi, but I lean more toward Marvel so I never put enough time into Star Wars tables. Wolverine is pretty fun, too. Shaman and Tesla are NOT much fun. Iron Man is probably the worst Marvel table. Masters of the Force is decent, but really hard. I wouldn't recommend it if you're new to pinball. I'm also enjoying the new Guardians of the Galaxy table. It's a high scoring, fast moving table.
Thanks! I think I'm going to pick up Guardians of the Galaxy, Infinity Gauntlet and Return of the Jedi.
Mod or Sun Vulcan or whoever might have the ability: Is there any way to redo the poll on this thread for all the tables currently available? It might be a cool way for new players to get a feel for what the community likes. I mean, not all of us have played every table (I think I still have 2 or 3 Star Wars tables I haven't purchased), but it could be fun. Just a thought!
Pinball games are not very well known. Most of the gamers despise them :/ Don't see the meaning of a list here.
Got anything to back that up? Gamers despise them ? The awards pinball arcade has for and also how popular Zeb Pinball is suggests otherwise
I'm not jokking, this is a fact. Just an exemple, in my friends list of 148. Only one has Marvel Pinball (and just recently because it was free...) so.,. PS : I'm just talking about the iOS platform not the console.
I wonder if it's a generational thing as I'll bet many of the 40+ crowd has found memories of the real things in arcades. If real arcades aren't rare enough these days, ones with some decent pinball machines are. I also am so annoyed that Zen started this whole Marvel Pinball YEARS after they'd released several tables on just their generic Zen Pinball. Since I already own every Marvel pinball machine in Zen, I'm not about to repurchase them for Marvel. At the same time, however, that collection of tables on the main Zen app is getting pretty unworldly, so one of these days I'll figure out how to move them from Zen to the Marvel app (I know it was already discussed here at some point but don't recall the details).
I actually started rebuying them in the Marvel Pinball app last year because Spider-Man isn't available in the main app (I can't have two redundant apps; it's a personal problem). Then I realized that was dumb and went back to the main app without Spider-Man. If they ever make a way for us to transfer (which I'm sure is 100% possible if they created a Zen account that connected the purchases; Comixology does that kind of stuff all the time!), I will totally go back to just the Marvel Pinball app and leave all my other tables behind.
There is a way to do it using iTools and transferring the tables, I've actually never tried it since I just stick with the Zen app. PS I'm 24 and I only played real pinball tables like once or twice when I was a kid but I love these. I think the iOS mentality is they don't want to spend $2 on one table when you can get another app for less with more content. Out of my 240 friends 41 have played Zen. Not bad.
Especially with these Zen tables, there is nothing cooler than playing a table you've already played dozens of times to see some totally new mode that introduces some new character animations!
Any of the new tables like dead pool any good? I'm missing like 1/2 the Star Wars tables, the football table, guardians and dead pool. I had an interesting experience, I pulled up zen and none of my tables were there - ok, I'll just restore them all - The app says that nothing is registered to the account, even though most of the tables all have my local high scores. Thankfully, turning off and back on, and all the tables restored. Maybe it doesn't like having that many tables associated, or I ran out of memory or something.
Always a subjective question for sure. Which are some of your favorite tables so far? I, for example, am not usually a fan of video modes where you are taken completely out of the pinball game and need to, say, ride a hover bike through the Ewok Forest or do light saber training with the laser shooting practice droid as was done in some of the Star Wars tables. On the other hand, being sent off to a separate little table or needing to hit targets popping out of the ground with the ball, very cool. I like Deadpool, although to be honest, at this moment I can't remember anything more specific than a lot of clever quips he makes as you play. I really found Guardians a blast with how it IMMEDIATELY starts each game with some crazy 6 ball multiball before settling in for a bit more normal single ball at a time action.
I agree about Guardians and Deadpool. Guardians is a really fun table, just all around. Deadpool is funny, but I don't think the table is that amazing. It's definitely a fun table to play with the sound on.
