Universal Zen Pinball - by Zen Studios

I don't really know what makes a fun table so I'm just looking at the themes, not all that crazy about any of them. X-Men is cool, but Professor X is boring. I might just stick with Boba Fett and leave it at that.

I got those too. Just played one game each so far. Fear Itself is awesome extremely fast paced compared to other tables IMO.

Boba fett, Invincible iron man, avengers, ghost rider, wolverine, hulk, tesla, paranormal and Excalibur are the only tables I haven't picked up yet. Anyone recommend any of those? Any of them have lots of multiball gameplay? Fear itself seems to have a ton and im loving it so far but the table is not very creative.

 

I decided to grab Empire Strikes Back, it seems good but I can't believe how incredibly bad the Han Solo voice actor is. At least I think that's who he's supposed to be. Sounds absolutely nothing like Harrison Ford. I wouldn't have known that was Han except I recognized the dialogue.

 

Haha..fun is a personal, subjective thing.

For me, I don't like too many timed ramps and unclear goals (without needing to consult table guides all the time). For some reason I have a really hard time with ramps in tables such as Episide V and Epic Quest. I like tables with minigames such as Sorcerer's Lair and Moon Knight.

I'm having a blast with Moon Knight especially, just discovering the different mini games. I stumbled upon some minigame in Blade as well, and the day and night transitions is pretty neat.

 

Bought couple of tables now that all of them are discounted , why the heck not when I enjoyed and played on other tables so much
The Invincible Iron Man table is such a letdown , looks so plain and unimaginative.Thor is nice though, excellent animations , colors and visuals, relatively easy missions , but flippers are so small compared to other tables
I will post reviews of all tables including Star Wars ones later on.

Tables I would recommend anytime to all pinball lovers no matter their skills are Bobba Fett, Epic Quest and Moon Knight .

 

I really can't share that universal love for Epic Quest... find this table pretty boring and even annoying. Perhaps simply not my theme and color palette

The 3 Star Wars tables are the best Zen Pinball tables, by far.

 

I personally think Infinity Gauntlet is the best table. The mechanics totally change the gameplay in more ways than any of the other tables ive played, and it breaks the usual monotony of pinball games.

 

Yeah, im enjoying the 3 Star Wars table much as well. I actually bought all 3 tables on the separate app, but eventually ended up buying them all in Zen Pinball as well since they were dropped to a buck each.

 

I find it too open, not enough ramps, etc. But the features are awesome.

 

Not as many ramps? I might have to consider this then! ;-)
Personal preference...not a fan of ramp heavy tables...

 

The table is interesting when things get activated. But the voice over and "story" is super annoying. Thanos is such a nobody in the Marvel universe and he keeps whining about his "love" and how he built a monument for her and this and that. God it's really getting on my nerves after about 20 games. I have a feeling I'm going to stop playing it just because of that.

 

The Star Wars sale seems to have ended early. I tried to buy Clone Wars last night and it was at 1.99.

 

The table is still worth it. I have only bought 2 tables at sale price and have 20 tables in all.

Clone wars table is a fun one and feels "smoother" than some tables.

Still love Civil War, Blade, Avengers, Infinity Gauntlet and Thor as my favourites.

Iron Man, Epic Quest and Wolverine are the ones I like least.

Zen Pinball is by far my most expensive app, and one I will never delete.

 

I'm not really interested in more tables for $2 each, will hope for another sale. I tweeted them about this but they didn't answer.

On Twitter they told me that the Star Wars sale only went til the 6th, I could have sworn it said 8th in the App Store, was I imagining things? I checked last night when it was 1.99 and it said til May 8th!

 

Watched couple of gameplay videos, seems fun but nothing special that would hold my interest in longer plays , don't think I will be getting it.Probably will be prices at 0.99 $ as a Zen classic table.
Must say I'm very impressed with Infinity Gauntlet table, beautifull background, vivid colors and superb variety of different gauntlet modes that keep gameplay spicy in longer plays.Amazing quality, get this one while it's discounted people !
Anyone got some impressions for Fear Itself table, looks quite interesting ?

 

I just picked up one of the Star Wars tables as well as the Infinity Gauntlet. I found the SW to be just OK, but I love the IG. I am thinking of getting more of the Marvel tables at this price.

Edit: I have now also bought Moon Knight and Fear Itself. Both are also really excellent. Looks like the Zen folks will be getting more of my money since the sale continues through the 9th.

 

What i love about Infinity Gauntlet, is that the openness of the table makes way for some highstyle and unique table mechanics transformations.

 

You need to hit right lane with bumpers , after a while multball will start and then GOD letters can be crushed.
