Yeah Boba Fett has timed out twice on me but i'm now at 93% so i hope this time it works

Bit of a pain having to re-download the app (and other tables i've bought) but just want this on all my devices !!

If you have two devices you can delete off one and do purchase restore on the other and not have to redownload all the tables. However they are taking forever to start and keep timing out.

As others have noted, I also had to delete the game and then re-install just to be able to have the option to purchase the SW tables. So, I just purchase all of the tables, but I can't download any of the tables I already owned. Their server(s) are getting pounded, so I can't even restore my purchase of tables like Tesla!

Now, I don't know how/where Zen Studios hosts their servers, but seriously guys, I've been in the IT business for 30 years - half of those as a CTO; I'm pretty sure I could have predicted the demand for the new (and heavily hyped/marketed) SW tables. If I were Zen's CTO, I would have planned for this WELL in advance, and I would have either worked to improve my infrastructure, or I would have moved all the games to Amazon's AWS/EC2 infrastructure (or some other on-demand cloud vendor).

Come on, Zen...this is pretty embarrassing. FYI - now trying to restore *any* purchase is returning an immediate "could not connect to the server" error. So it looks like Zen's servers have completely crashed under the strain.

On the 'plus' side its showing how popular these are (Or Zen were always using crappy servers !).

I mean to get these sorts of download errors there must be some heavy heavy demand. Sure they'll sort this out for the next set of tables and might have been amazed at how popular its been.

Note to Disney/Lucasarts - see how popular Star Wars is on iOS ! Please release some decent apps !

This is probably accurate, but not necessarily true. It completely depends on what their infrastructure looks like. But it's a good bet they're just getting the snot pounded out of them today.

Dont get me wrong it is bad the way it seems to be crashing/not coping. Perhaps it was totally unexpected, they must have known they would be popular but perhaps its been insane the downloads (which in a way is good for all of us)

Frustrating BUT in the long term this could be very good news for all of us. I've got two of the tables so far and i'll keep trying for the third.

This morning i downloaded all 3 onto my iphone with no issues, but this afternoon i'm struggling to put these 3 on my other devices.

Sheesh! Almost 40 minutes and a zillion re-downloads later, and I was finally able to restore my tables and download the new SW ones!

I'm going to give this a whirl now.

OK. The Zen infrastructure still stinks (I went ahead and bought one more non-SW table...and yes, I knew it would be a problem to download it now); however, the 3 new SW tables are excellent! Watching Boba Fett fly around the table, or have Darth Vader come out and offer Boba a contract (where you control which table objective you want to undertake), is all super cool. I also played the Clone Wars table and had a great time there. I did the table mission of getting "troops" loaded onto a ship that moved to different parts of the table. It's all so well done. Well worth the $1.99 per table!

It was painful to download, but it was certainly worth it!

Now I have to study the tables and look at how to accomplish the objectives...

I had the same "Coming Soon" banner on all the tables that everybody else mentioned. I deleted the app and reinstalled it and that fixed it. I have not had any problems buying or downloading the tables, either. They loaded very quickly.

I already played the 3 tables on my PS3 last night and they are pretty cool. Can't beat the combo of Star Wars + Zen Pinball!

I really like Pinball Arcade as they're 'real tables' BUT i must admit the tables i had tried before on Zen Pinball i really enjoyed, and now with these Star Wars ones i think i'm going to start collecting all the tables for Zen Pinball (slowly as tonight is an expensive night !)

All we need now is a decent bit of hardware (Come on ION !) like the iCade but with side buttons for pinball. If that works with Pinball Arcade/Zen Pinball it'll be great.

I know there is one device out already but that ONLY worked for one pinball app which is a joke.

ION have been very quiet, hope they release more iOS hardware.

All we really need are stick on buttons, kind of like those stick on directional pads, but just an arcade button. A button that has resistance so you can rest your fingers on them, and only press when you mean to. They would be simple and do the trick.

Ugh. First, got the problem with the SW tables saying coming soon (and the rest of the unpurchased tables not even being shown). Then after reinstalling, I now can't download anything - previous purchases or new ones. Seems like this was not quite ready for prime time.

[update] wouldn't you know it, right after posting, I tried again, and now it's working.

Sadly I really don't think the reinstalling makes a difference. You'd do just as well by spinning in place three times before giving another attempt. Clearly their servers are overloaded and you just need to keep attempting the downloads until they take. After several tries downloading each table without bothering to unistall/reinstall I got all 3 tables.

From what little I've seen of the 3 tables they're pretty decent. Lots of special modes and table objectives to shoot for on them. At the same time they are such Zen tables, possibly not the most realistic physics but always lots of fun over the top animated character interactions (Darth Vader picking up and flinging your ball back at you) that you'd never see in the likes of Pinball HD or Arcade Pinball.

I know it's not what you asked for, but that reminded me there's a joystick from Think Geek, I got two of them, that are heavy-duty, made of metal, that stick to any touch screen with a suction cup, for dual stick shooters or you can use one and it works really well! People trip out when they see me playing with my iPad using 'em. They HAVE to check it out! They're like, WHAT? Then they want one! :D

Don't know if the developers read this page but grouping the tables in bundles would be nice. $30 for all tables is a bit much.

No, the reinstalling wasn't for the download issue - it was to fix the UI problem - seeing "coming soon" for the SW tables and not seeing any of the other in purchased tables. Reinstalling did fix that.

And yeah, played the ep V table, and it was quite fun. Will have to play more to get the hang of it, but I definitely like all the audio clips and visual fx. A very good homage to the movie.
