Just started playing this today and after almost 2 hours of non-stop enjoyment, I also added this to my GotW noms.

Forgotten Memories looks really cool and well-made! (I would totally play it if I didn't scare so easily!) Does Not Commute is really fantastic too, so we're really flattered that you guys would consider Zen Koi GotW!
This would easily be GotW for me too but right now I'm having problems with the game crashing on me almost always when my koi lays an egg. Earlier it worked fine. Very frustrating! Any patches on the way to fix this? I would love to throw some money at you!
Hey, I'm so sorry to hear that. Could you send a message through our in-game support tool describing the problem? (Menu->Help->Support) We'll then be able to look at what went wrong and hopefully fix the issue. Again, I'm really sorry about that. We've spent a lot of time trying to make the game as bug-free as possible, but sometimes things do slip through. Hope you'll bear with us a little longer as we try to iron things out!
One thing you should ad, more living things in the pond, like for example all the koi we have, would be great to see them swimming around, only when the fish is coming out of the egg we'll see them, but they quickly disappear
That's a pretty good suggestion actually! Watching a "fish family" swim around together would be pretty awesome. Right now we are pretty swamped trying to resolve crash issues for some of the other players though, but we'll definitely consider it for future updates!
Excellent, you could actually ad a few things like a frog swimming once in a while (just to make the whole atmosphere even more real and relaxing), a turtle or other living things ^^
I used the in game support tool now and hope you guys can fix the frequent crashs in the next update. I too would love to have more and/or different environments, more prey and other critters populating the pond.
So I completely maxed out and dragonized my gift koi which was probably a mistake as now I can't do any breeding with it and it had a rarity of 10 whoops. Thankfully I bred it a few times but now I have to wait 3 days or clone one. I have a few question on the rarity of of the Koi's. Does the rarity stat increase the chance that you'll randomly pick up a rare color or do you have to find a rare colored mate before it even matters? I have yet to see a rare color swimming around. Is there a way to mate 2 of your own koi or do you always have to hunt one down? It would be much easier to control your breeding patterns that way. How do you unlock new breeds? I have 2 the starter koi and the gifted koi and all of the encountered koi are identical to whatever koi in the pond I am in. This is definitely my GOTW I'm loving it I was a huge PF fan back in the day but eventually that got old. Here is a suggestion though. Create a dragon pond or a pond for all of your ascended koi to collect in. Then create another in game currency or means of acquiring some decorations for it I would enjoy this way of checking up on my completed dragons or fish much more than only being able to see them in the collection data. Also if you can't breed 2 of your own koi add that feature I feel it is a must for a breeding game. If you already can just let me know how. great work!
That's a drag I had one in there it said they were giving one to all new players And it actually mentions it under the news tab
What's weird about getting more pearls for the rarity of koi you ascend is that if I remember correctly I only got 1 pearl from ascending the 'special' gift Koi lol guess it wasn't too special or rare # great game so far. I'm actually regretting ascending the gift koi cause I'm scared it'll be hard to get another all white one. doh!!
Hi! You have to level up your koi until you reach around level 4 or 5. (We wanted to make sure you'd completed the tutorial first before getting the limited edition koi.) Koi Breeding and Rarity I'm glad you asked! The rarity stat only affects the chances of getting a rare offspring when hatching an egg with a rare parent. It does not affect how often rare color mates appear in the pond. You'll probably encounter them the more you play! (If not do let us know again!) Currently you always will have to hunt them down. We didn't want to make it too easy to complete collections. But I think there's definitely merit in the idea of breeding from two of your own koi! Once you have collected a few koi of the same basic pattern, there's a chance that a different pattern koi will appear in the pond! For limited edition koi though, the mate will always be of the same pattern. That is awesome! Seems like you're not the only one. Quite a few people on this thread have mentioned PF too! That is a great suggestion actually. Kind of like the Zen Garden from PvZ. We're definitely exploring how to make ascending koi even cooler! Anyway, thanks again for helping to answer questions from other players! And really for just taking so much interest in the game!
So far I have managed to get unlock and breed 1 rare color (dark green) I have attempted to breed with the next style of fish (rectangle pattern) 4 times but have been frustratingly disappointed each time. I have ascended 3 dragons. The encounter rate is a bit low usually about 5 minutes before I even come across another koi but not too bad. Thank you for letting me know about the limited edition fish breeding so I don't waste my time searching for other styles to breed it with.
