Well I've had a few hours play out of it so far and still not seen any of the ending. So I'd say it's worth the price especially if you like this kind of game.
item score Is it me, or is it impossible to get your items score up? I've played through a bunch of times, have won several times, and have gathered all the item icons that are possible except one, and it always says that my item score was "poor". I think this is a bug?
I've noticed that too. I've collected many items with all the options and it still says my item selection is poor. Still can't get past 77 %, wondering if it is possible to get anywhere from 90 to 100?? This game is in need of more content.
Well I got this as a reply a couple of days ago. We are uploading a new build this week which will not only include a teaser (additional challenge) but will also make ZDAY Survival Simulator compatible with ALL iOS devices, including iPod Touch 2G and iPhone 3G. Thank you for your support, we appreciate your feedback man. #
This game rocks if you like CYOA. It is the atmosphere of the game that i like best. Really makes you think you are in zombietown
Just downloaded it. Not a bad game, but too short. It could be nice adding a long story, or even better: a never ending one, something similar to The Walking Dead. Also, you should be able to play with your own music. 3/5 stars
How exactly does one make a never ending story with text based gameplay? That's a somewhat unrealistic expectation and critique. Besides it is a game meant to be played over and over to explore all the scenarios, so saying it is short is somewhat of a misnomer, especially if starting from one of the advanced starting points. I know just with the first version before the update friends and I would compare our experience and they would have events happen that I would never encounter and so forth.
Idk if you have read TWD comic, but Kirkman said that he will keep writing it until forever. Is it impossible? Not really. It takes work for sure, but it's possible. The game could have in app updates (I saw this in a travel app: it updates with new places everyday).
I agree. Even before the new update I loved this game. The length is perfect to have a play through in one session. And nearly everytime you play it turns out differently as things happen in different orders. After all it is supposed to be a zombie survival simulator not an endless zombie story. I've played through quite a few times and still love going through again and again just to see the end game stats and with the new update adding in loads of new art and events it's now even better than before. One of my favourite games on iOS and even if no new content came out it would still be fantastic value for money.
Started playing this over the last couple days and despite not being a big zombie survival person, this game is beyond excellent. I don't understand the complaints on length, I'm still on my second play through and I took several key different paths and am much further into it without yet reaching a good ending. It seems perfect for those that like find your fate games mixed with adventure gaming. I'm going to have to play Survivor Z and buy whatever games y'all make next.
I think it would be possible to make the game (not this one, leave it alone, but another one) go on forever (well until death) by making the game world loop around on itself where you could go back through each location scavenging for items and so on. Those survivors that were lost along the way wouldn't suddenly be there alive anymore (maybe they could be undead though) but the game would need some other survival things added like food/water and maybe stamina (requiring finding a safe hiding spot to rest). Overall though, I wouldn't change anything about ZDay Survival Simulator at this point. It's such good fun as it is.
The latest update has made a great game ever greater, with improved inventory and a slightly expanded storyline. It also looks like expansion packs are in the making and I'm really looking forward to that. There's a lot of potential in expanding the story to beyond the last place where they survived. Glad the developers are still working on this. It's my favourite zombie game on iOS.
