This looks cool. Only a few really good sniper games on the appstore, maybe this one's a sleeper L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #3 L.Lawliet, Jul 17, 2014 Ohh! I hope this is good. Though I've already been deceived a few times this week and haven't found anything I like. Hmm. I'm sure most people don't care but that app icon is disturbing. I wouldn't like to stare at a disfigured head every time I look at my dash Shiatama_0 Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2012 385 0 16 #4 Shiatama_0, Jul 17, 2014 Played it for a while. It's quite challenging. It looks amazing and it is fun. There are a lot of weapons and upgrades to buy and until now i unlocked 4 different modes to play It's dual currency and with an enery system. I played the game for more than half an hour until i ran out of energy. Fun game Eoghann Well-Known Member May 29, 2012 1,367 0 0 IT Guy/Graphic Designer/Gamer New York #5 Eoghann, Jul 17, 2014 Been looking for a good sniper game, I'll check this out. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #6 L.Lawliet, Jul 17, 2014 Last edited: Jul 17, 2014 Okay I played it. Not bad at all. Hate the energy but putting that aside, it plays really nice and smooth. No online required either. Graphics are nice too. Just for the sake of suggestion, I think there needs to be added impact sounds. The guns sound good (though I think the AK sounds a bit too weak) in general but once they hit a target, there's no sound of the impact. I think that's the main thing missing. The other thing is the ragdoll effect is not very good. When they die they kind of flip over in weird ways. I know how ragdoll works but this one seems really.. odd looking. Maybe because they die in slo-mo? Still, good game. I'll play it some more. And one wish for updates is to actually add attachments to guns. Unless I'm missing something. Aesthetics to change the gun's appearance like scopes, laser sights, etc are pretty crucial for sniper games dlinan Well-Known Member May 26, 2011 54 0 0 Graphics & 3D designer & iOS Developer Spain #7 dlinan, Jul 17, 2014 Thanks Hi! Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try to include it in the next updates. What are the 3 best and worst things that you like/unlike? for example: + like: bullet time effect - unlike: tutorial Cheers David Eoghann Well-Known Member May 29, 2012 1,367 0 0 IT Guy/Graphic Designer/Gamer New York #8 Eoghann, Jul 17, 2014 Last edited: Jul 17, 2014 Lawliet makes some good observations. The ragdoll needs some work to make it more realistic. It seems like the elbows and other joints are locked in so when the zombie falls, it looks like you're knocking down an action figure. Loosen the joints but keep in mind how joints are supposed to work (elbows and knees don't bend forward, for example) This pretty much follows the Deer Hunter model. Which is not bad but can get pretty aggressive later on. Weapon customization would be awesome. One thing that bothers me is the bullet trajectory. When I lock on a zombie's head and fire, it counts as a headshot but the bullet impacts away from the zombie, where it was at the time of pulling the trigger. It should follow the zombie. Also an option to switch weapons while reloading. Some weapons take a while to reload so I'd say "screw it, I'm switching to AK-47" but I'm stuck waiting until it reloads. JoshW Well-Known Member Jun 15, 2010 253 0 0 #9 JoshW, Jul 17, 2014 This is a great game with outstanding graphics. I agree with the suggestions made above and would also like to add: - Could you add an option to turn off the "bullet time" effect? I find it more satisfying to have an immediate kill than have to go through what feels more like a cut scene in these instances. Congrats on making a really great game! I will definitely keep playing. IceMan7 Well-Known Member Jun 11, 2013 61 0 0 Harrisburg,PA #10 IceMan7, Jul 17, 2014 Yes, very fun game. Idk about the rest of us here but I thought maybe we could see more of the gun in our hands? I don't think that would obstruct our view that much. Other than that it needs a tad improved sound effects but it's very fun redribbon Well-Known Member Jun 11, 2010 2,799 53 48 entepreanur, programmer #11 redribbon, Jul 17, 2014 The Gameplay: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel bigjack66 Well-Known Member Aug 5, 2013 664 0 0 #12 bigjack66, Jul 17, 2014 Just had a quick go. Nice graphics and gameplay. I like the way the zombies fly backwards when shot. A nice freebie. A good one comes along every now and then. See how far you can get before needing iaps tho it could be worth money. We'll see how it goes. jeStR65 Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2012 61 0 6 #13 jeStR65, Jul 17, 2014 Enjoying the game a lot but think we could definitely do without the timers lol I can tell it's gonna be a grind to get those more powerful weapons # chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #14 chief78, Jul 17, 2014 I agree with the other points on needing an option to swap to the secondary even if reloading the primary weapon. Also, it would be nice to reload and at least after one shell is loaded, be able to aim and fire. Controls work great, any thought about MFi integration?? The IAP is.....idk what to say. I'd like to purchase something in support of the game but all of it is just really really overpriced. I'd buy the doubler pack (as long as it's permanent...I think it is?), but not for more than $5-6. I think that's fair. For $12, I should be buying an option to remove timers, remove equipment upgrade timers, and rebalance of the monetization. The pace of gaining money is good so far, but the prices in the in-game store are also pretty high. If those were addressed somehow, you've got my $6 sitting aside waiting Great controls and fun missions though. None-the-less L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #15 L.Lawliet, Jul 17, 2014 Last edited: Jul 17, 2014 Yeah I agree. I think the thread is going in the right direction. The game is good and its got props for that. Some additions could make it amazing. People here would pay for a remove energy timer and some ingame tweaks would be appreciated. I also noticed the bullet trajectory misses in the slow mo (because zombies still move in the slo mo) as someone else already mentioned. Also agree with weapon swap during reload to "fast change" if you can't wait. And just to add to my previous comments, not a big deal but if you could revamp the assault rifle sounds to make them sound more powerful? They all sound like my BB gun or a gun with a silencer on. I think in games like these, people enjoy feeling powerful so a stronger assault rifle sound would feel a greater impact. Overall as a freemium game I would DEFINITELY recommend this. I played Sword and Poker and that was a travesty. somedumbgamer Well-Known Member May 4, 2013 709 0 0 #16 somedumbgamer, Jul 18, 2014 Id be all over this if it was premium. What do you like for the next updates? More Maps? More Weapons? Other PowerUps? Maybe a Mission Editor? What do your opinion about controls? (you can modify the position of the control in the options of the main menu) In general, the game is easy/hard/very difficult? Cheers David orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #20 orangecan, Jul 18, 2014 This is the second good game this week that is while not ruined severely crippled by its Iap. While it's not as bad as mad guns it's another game that I would happily have paid a premium price for but I'm not prepared to put much time into it because of the pricing structure. The actual game mechanics are pretty good fun tho it must be said, but the one thing that really bugged me is that missions get harder because the same zombies just take more shots to kill, even with a headshot. I know there's got to be a progression in difficulty but I'm not sure this is the way to do it. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
