It so nearly works with an MFi controller. Could choose the planets and fire but the ship wouldn't move. I must say that i have got used to the touch controls though and absolutely love this. Seeing Willy, Horace, Jetman and even a nod to Hewson pretty much had me at the start though. Love it though. Z-Exellent stuff.
Great game. Glad I bought it. Really actually reminds me of this one top down shooter... Was a freeware game? All kinds of different planets to go on and had a bunch of storyline elements... I digress though. One of those rare games you can actually pick up and play for five minutes or sit down and tear through for a few hours.
Is there a bug where orbitals don't fire projectiles? Or am I just picking the wrong ones? Namely the blaze and hoopla orbitals. There's something going on when I fire but it's insignificant and to the point where the two orbitals are no different from each other.
Both Blaze and Organix are level 1 and Hoopla is 2. The first two don't do anything noticeably different from the other, hoopla had a kind of string that shoots out but isn't much more effective than the former. They don't seem as effective as I would have hoped. Is level three the one I'm looking for here? Regardless, still playing your game like crazy.
Probes and orbitals don't really reach their full potential until level 3 so keep collecting the Zogs and keep on upgrading! Suminell.
Level 17:18 is impossible to do with static pad on Ipad because you cant move fast enough and get crushed?
The speed boost upgrade is cumulative - if you deploy 2 or 3 in quick succession the ship should move quick enough to avoid even the most aggressive crushers. Hope this helps, Suminell.
Main issue I see with this is controls, are they that bad? The game looks pretty neat from the trailers.
On Ipad they could be better/bigger/not static but Ive used to already, dont think they are that bad.
Not bad at all. Could definitely use a little love or ultimately Mfi support but they're serviceable enough to get you through the game.
Hello all, There is an update incoming which should address many of the control issues raised in this thread. Should be available this week. Thanks for all the feedback, pilots. Keep on conquering Suminell.
The game freezes at the "PRESENTS" screen - right after the Suminell Studios logo - in both my iPhone 4s (iOS 9.3.5) and iPad 2 (iOS 8.4.1). Any chance of being this fixed in the next update? I have been following your game since it was first posted in Touch Arcade back in 2015 and I can't wait to finally play it because Nemesis 2 on MSX is one of my all time favourite games!
jjust Finished this one, hm... the game has its moments pluses and minuses, +Small Game size under 100MB + Sounds in the Game + No In-App Purchases Problems with controls , doesnt react fast enough in the game, Only one life per level... why... because of that its practicly unplayable because you will be dead after few seconds.
Just purchased this.Being a ZX Spectrum owner in the past,i recognise all the nods to that era (Hewson etc). And apart from problems with the controls (as other have stated),it's an exellent game. Now for the "but"....... I'm having trouble understanding the upgrade system.I've upgraded the POWER-UP HEADSTART to max.And all that happens when i start a level is the wrench at the top of the screen changes to max - I get no instant missle, buddy or probe,i still have to hold down the fire button to select them. Maybe i'm being stupid, but could someone explain this to me?
Hi there, Thanks for the query. The update will include the option to use a static on-screen Dpad, a dynamic on-screen joystick or the current drag control. Also included will be support for a wide range of MFI controllers. Hope this helps. Suminell
