The little anime voices and flashy effects when you play a card have my inner 10-year-old freaking out So far, it's pretty fun, and I'm not seeing any energy timers like in Yugioh Bam, so I'm liking this a lot. I do see some IAP, but hopefully you can just duel a lot and buy cards without having to spend anything. Nekku Well-Known Member May 31, 2013 1,542 7 38 #10 Nekku, Jan 12, 2017 Same here. Not available in my country. Looking forward to this since a simplified version of YuGiOh to play in short bursts sounds very interesting to me. Learned it from a buddy I met that year who wanted me to teach him how to play Magic the Gathering. Is this basically the digital version of Yugioh or a simplified version of it? What are the IAP? Do you buy packs of cards like in Hearthstone? pka4916 Well-Known Member Jun 6, 2009 2,584 0 36 Male Wisconsin #15 pka4916, Jan 13, 2017 Everyone noticed that (Think it was the training school) the 1st part of the text is in English and then it turns all into French or whatever language it is... really reminds me of the DS Championship version.. where you can do the training ones to complete a mission. ramzarules Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2014 2,112 128 63 Greece #16 ramzarules, Jan 13, 2017 will he stop shouting "I DRAW A CARD" after some matches or it happens constantly throughout the game? i get it if he must shout the names of the monsters, but come on, "i draw a card"? every round? Only because..... of how much of a damn Yu-Gi-Oh addict I was in HS. I mean literally I was at the top of my school, and bullied people for their lunch/drug money with my deck and came second in state (AZ semi-national 2002) before they started going heavy on the bans. I started finding it difficult, and clearly comic shops and hosts all around, hard to keep track of what was banned and what wasn't so someone always got in a tizzy when their Yata-Garasu deck (Me. I got mad. I miss my Yata Deck) had to be broken down to nothing. Unfortunately, that all still exists and... it's not that I'm against it, it's just... I think the ship has sailed. I will always have a soft spot for he game though. cmdrmonty Member Aug 28, 2015 18 0 1 #18 cmdrmonty, Jan 14, 2017 You can turn off vocal lines in the options menu during a duel. Tinsel Well-Known Member Dec 8, 2008 508 5 18 #19 Tinsel, Jan 14, 2017 Every time you finish a match (PvP or PvE) it does a quick server connect. The matches are short enough that you probably cannot consider it offline capable. I am enjoying it more than I thought I would, mostly because they have been more generous than in most Yugioh games about giving you the ability to earn cards (or resources) in the free matches, even if they are on an energy system. Still, remember this is Konami we're talking about here, and they have shut down numerous online and facebook Yugioh games that were not performing well enough with no warning or recompense to the player base. Also their iPhone Yugioh Bam version (which I found far superior to the original game) reset player's accounts "accidentally" at least three times, with no recompense for the players (they just expected you to buy cards over again?). So, any money sunk into this one should be considered carefully. Roleki Well-Known Member Aug 11, 2012 432 0 0 #20 Roleki, Jan 15, 2017 So we should spend money on this, or it will fail and go offline - but we should be wary about sinking money into this, because we could lose it if they reset the accounts...
