    Hi,

September 1st is the AppStore release date, submission (and acceptation) is already done, but we have decided to make it gradual in order to minimize server (thus user experience) problems. It will come to stores near us (Europe) gradually starting today, before the US one.

I'll keep you posted it will be officially available in other stores.

As for retina display, an HD version (iPad and iPhone 4) is being worked on, but it takes some time, along with the first release's inputs to be taken into account.

    Best,

    Phil

Ok I just bought this game and I'm really disappointed:

    1. There is absolutely no tutorial. I spent like 30s finding out what I'm supposed to do till I came upon the help section hidden away in the menu UI

    2. Game is full of lag.

    3. The controls (quite possibly the main thumbs down) is just unbearable, let me elaborate. In order to move you touch anywhere on the screen (alternatively you can keep your fingers on for the mobile d-pad that yslandia boasts). Using the d-pad is cumbersome because of the fact that it will sometimes register the opposite of your input (character suddenly going north when your d-pad is clearly pointing south). Secondly, my character always tends to get stuck (sometimes randomly in the middle of the road).

The general game just feels slow and choppy, coupled with the crap controls and non-user friendly UI, I can only hope that the developers take note of these problems. I really don't want to think that I just wasted 5 bucks but at this point it's hard to think otherwise.

In conclusion, it's a good thing that players in the States have to wait a month. Hopefully the problems will be resolved by then.

I hope this constructive criticism will help with the continued development of the game.

    My 2 cents.

I think it's pretty self explanatory, the beginning quests is like a hand holding thing that guides you. Aside from referencing the help guide on how to create shortcuts, I find that the game is pretty easy to learn. I mean most functions are pretty self explanatory. The game is pretty open off the bat, you start on an newbie island which you can't get off of until you're level 10, so you just take your time and get to level 10 the way you like. It's not linear as in you must go through step a b c d in succession to level, but I thin it's a personal preference.

As for the lag I find it ok, remember that the only servers available are two located in Europe, so for us Canadians the only country not in Europe to get it early it does seem like a bummer. But I'm sure once the it's released stateside they will open up NA servers.

I find the getting stuck annoying too, but it's probably an object collision and detection mechanic that needs smoothing out. I find that just tapping where to go instead of using the d-pad to me a lot more easier. I believe when the system gets to a spot through automated movement it tends not to collide into objects while on its way. So I think not using the dpad will solve the getting stuck problem.

I think overall this game has a lot of depth, and is pretty neat in terms of game play. But you're entitled to your opinion, and giving a negative review without spending a significant time with it is really not doing the developers justice.
