Amazon has started shipping. I know this from reading a thread at macrumors forum. I ordered a 64GB on 9/3, and am still waiting for an update from Amazon. Hopefully tomorrow. I'm hoping to get it this week. I even have a case for it already!
+1,000,000 You are completely correct. That Anantech article is pointless, and so many people are acting dumb, expecting the IT4 to be the same hardware as a the IP4?! It's half the price! For the price and compared to previous Ipod Touch gens, it's fantastic! A great update for the Touch series. People need to stop comparing a $300 device to a $600 device and expecting them to be equals. It's just stupid.

weird, i tried that on my ipod gen 2 and can not duplicate it. anyone with a ipod 4 get the distortion? chris.
yeah, i was joking. i have no clue how much the screen would cost.. and to be honest i sorta doubt the url i posted that said the iphone 4 screen cost 30.00 is all that accurate.. how would they know was first thing i thought of. i doubt they do apples books. chris.
Has anybody found a case that gives it more of an iphone 4(or just thicker shape) that has an external battery and a headphone port
Actually, none of those stores have got them in yet (except in maybe a rare case). I've been to Meijers, Walmart, Target and Best Buy's all around the area and finally got an answer at Best Buy when their coming out to Retail. It's September 20'th. Right now, the electronics associates are telling everyone they sold out of them, but in all reality, they just got rid of their current stock of Third Gen Ipods to make room for fourth gen. The price stickers are even still up for the third Generation stuff and none for the fourth gen. So I'd definatley check next Monday and Tuesday for those using the retail route. It's rather pointless to look right now unless you have an Apple Store next to you.

Being in the Toy/Action Figure buisness for as long as I have, Australia usually gets stuff first, then it shows up in the US about two weeks to a month later. I think the same thing's going to apply for the Ipod Touches. I was told September 20th by Best Buy and a few other sources. I just feel sorry for the certain few who buy a Third Gen by mistake :-X
if I were U... i'd have waited for gen 5, more hints about it in the features of iPhone 5 release you are just a gen away if they don KNOW that 4th gen has cam & 3rd gen does not, they deserve to buy only 3rd gen
This video is not appropriately named. Hes not testing the speed of the devices, rather the speed of the network he is in. He should compare apps loading times rather than safari web page load times.
