How about just "Spartan Warrior"? Or, if you want something more "fancy": "The Spartan Warrior Legend" or "Spartan Warrior: Legendary Battles" or "Spartan Warrior: Legendary Conflict". As for the name of the currently unnamed warrior, how about: Lycurgus Lycurgus was the "founder" of the Spartan warrior culture we have all come to know. While the name is Lycurgus, of course, it doesn't mean it is THE Lycurgus (as the dates wouldn't match between the "founding" of Sparta as a warrior culture and any sort of Persian led assault). But it might mean that the Lycurgus in the game, the player/character, is a descendant of THE Lycurgus (as one of the customs among the ancient Greeks was naming the first born child after the grandfather or father), which, y'know...would be kinda cool if you think about it.

We originally were going to call it iSpartan, but after looking into it we discovered that iDracula was successful despite its name, not because of it. The biggest criticism of iDracula appeared to be its biggest problem. Lol, Spartans in Space would ROCK!
Spiffy- Your idea for the unnamed character is brilliant. Because he is descendant from such a noble lineage, the pressure is on to prove that he is worthy of following in his heroic ancestor's footsteps...thus providing an interesting back story to the game and motivation for his actions.

I think you should keep it simple but catchy. A lot of what I read here is too cheesy for me. "The Spartan" as name for the hero and the game is kinda cool, but reminds me a lot of the Master Chief from Halo. Although to give him just a kind of nickname instead of a real name makes him more mythical. For me at least. I can imagine you want sparta in any kind of way integrated in the title in terms of better sales. NUTS! Hah. Awesome. I'm glad that at least finished off that show by bringing the story of the town of Jericho to an end. That show was EPIC.
There have been some great character names here for "The Spartan." I think we may go with Athos, if any name at all. (Possibly leave it up to the player.) Lycurgus was a great suggestion (Creator of the Spartan military lifestyle.), but it is hard to remember and spell. Feel free to also leave suggestions for the characters name or state if you wanna name him yourself.
