Nice game, first alao no more avaliable, tried after an hour and it worked. How does the upgrade system work? You have three swords, three staffs, two shields? First I thought that the first upgrade is for match 3, second for match 4 and third for match 5 but when the shields upgrade came up I figured out this may not be it.
My understanding is that they're the same weapon, just different aspects of it that you're upgrading. I've been stuck on the final quest for some time now. Not sure how close I've gotten to completing it.
I'm enjoying this but Hero Emblems remains the best match-3 game in years. And to be honest, I'm a little disappointed by how few steps forward the game takes from the original. You unlock so much, capture so many monsters, build so much... but it doesn't come through in the actual fighting portion of the game. There are a very limited set of active abilities, so the game at the start and the game 5 hours in feels more or less the same. Now you're just doing more damage, have more hp, are faster etc. The game doesn't expand in the way I had hoped it would. But maybe that's because I was expecting a different sort of game from the sequel.
Did you finish the game? Spoiler Is there anything past the Final Quest in the Gallery? Because I still have a bunch of empty rooms on my boat and some monsters I didn't capture.
This sequel seems like a nice update to the original, and even if there was not much difference, it is such a joy to be playing with this game mechanic again. So good!
Ok, I just beat it and still have empty rooms and missing monsters. Gonna see if there's a way to continue with the same boat. One thing that really annoys me is the tapping to upgrade. I don't understand the point of it, other than to give people carpal tunnel? Am I missing something with it? Edit: Seems like you can only restart with harder difficulty. I thought monsters captured were a set part of the game, given by quests. How do you catch more of them?
I am not a fan of this sliding mechanic. It is frustrating to see so many opportunities to make a match only you can't because you can't get the tile up there without trying to move others around meanwhile you're supposed to be fast. I
Yeah, that's just stupid. Even if he wanted it to be a quasi-minigame it could have been a hold action instead of the silly tapping. Also, whenever I need to do one of these tapping things in any game I just drum the button with two fingers (index and middle) instead of tapping with just the one. Makes it faster and less stressful on the finger.
Can you do that with this one? The button is so small. Spoiler At the very end, you have to tap some button for seemingly no reason. I stopped before I was supposed to and, for a minute or two, I thought I broke the game. Also, do you know if it affects the stats you get? If you don't tap fast enough (or at all?). The first time I upgraded, I just stared at it a while before I even realized I was supposed to do something. But I'm not sure if it affected the stats or not.
Yeah, I played on my iPhone. I prefer games like this in one hand. Never even crossed my mind to use my iPad.
Appunwrapper, how long did it take you to finish? And would you recommend this if i haven't played the original 10million? My top Match 3s so far have been : Hero Emblems (by far), and then Spirit Stones and Super Glyph Quest. Would i like this?
I'm still working on my review if you want my full reaction. But I haven't played 10000000 either. This took me over 9 hours to complete, but I'm sure it can be done in much less. I wasted a lot of time on a few specific quests. You can't move on until you complete all the quests you're given, and as far as I know, there's no way to re-roll them if you've gotten a particularly annoying one. Hero Emblems still reigns supreme in my book (need endless mode!). But this one is pretty addictive and hard to put down. As long as you can get used to the sliding mechanic. It's not my favorite, and I'll admit that when I was frustrated or tired, I would just start sliding the board around hoping something would stick lol.
Thanks man! and yeah, i agree on Hero Endlemss (ha, see what i did). Maybe i'll give it a shot, as this week turned out week for premium except this and Hitman Sniper, which apparently only has the one map/villa for 150 missions.. lol
Yeah, I wasn't planning to pick up any games this week until I saw YMBAB was coming out. I have zero interest in a sniper game, so Hitman didn't get me excited.
I'm officially addicted! Three hours straight. So the game is challenging as hell. 300 meters is my farthest I usually go 250-275 haha.
My best distance ended up being the final level at 637. I do wish the game had Gamecenter so I could compare with others! Edit: I just noticed some photos online that must be from the PC version. I thought the iPad version would look the same, but it's the same as the iPhone, just bigger. Seems like an odd choice, since the iPad could have easily worked with the PC layout?
As usual, you are so far ahead of the rest of us that your questions may as well be rhetorical! You're a beast! Much like Hero Emblems, I look forward to your guidance
