Yep, that crate quest was frustrating. Miscounting was my mistake as well. I finally passed it. Then soon after I got stuck on a keys quest... Luckily Mudders Tavern can help with some of these more difficult quests.
1 - no. 2 - you can't. But once you've unlocked a bonus it stays active permanently. 3 - you can't. 4 - the shield indicator in front of you gets more or less transparent as you pick up more shields. It's very slight though. At full shield, matching shield tiles will pop up a small "Max!" next to your character. (I've started calling the character Max because of it ) 5 - yes it does. Taking damage knocks you backwards unless you have a shield.
There's something in a chest -- I believe it might have even been called the East Wind. I'm pretty sure you hit it when the counter gets to zero. I think I actually lost a couple times while I was unlocking it. :/ The run in which I finally got it had me finish at 600-something, when the counter runs out at 500.
Yoooo are you guys not aware the items stay after a run is finished?? This is a very easy mission haha. What im not having fun with is getting a run with two 5-in-a-row matches. Is there some skill or technique to this? Or luck?
You MUST build it Shaking my head at all the dudes on here going, "match 3 just isn't my thing", "I don't like the graphical style, not for me", "I played for 30mins and don't get what all the fuss is about", "it's not different enough from the original for me", "it's too frantic, I want to relax"... Etc etc. Two words: shut up. This game is amazing. If you don't get it, if you can't stick with it longer than half an hour, if the style 'isn't to your taste', if your soul is lacking and your opinions are fully formed as soon as your knee has jerked, if you don't know beauty and genius when it's waving at you, if you're going back to candy crush, if you need a thing to explain itself before you'll work it out; well, there's only one solution for you. Get the boat built and then we'll talk. It's so hard to see people here not realising that they're essentially complaining about the costume choices in Citizen Kane. Beautiful game, well done Lucas and thank you.
You might want to consider that people do have personal preferences. I found this game to be a big disappointment, taking very small steps forward from the original and lacking in depth. Just because you and the general majority enjoy the game does not mean absolutely EVERYBODY has to enjoy it as well. Telling people to shut up for expressing their opinions is incredibly rude.
Sorry, I dont agree. That's MY opinion. I understand the thing with opinions, it's just that I'm passionate about this game. Build your boat then get back to me, or don't be bothering to read opinions on a masterpiece that you hate.
I also have a hard time understanding how someone being remotely interested in matching games cannot love this gem. And yes, it feels similar to 10.000000 but improves pretty much everywhere. Like a good Mario or Zelda game. They gave me more of what I loved so much and made it a lot better. Passionate IAP-free iOS indie gaming at its very best.
Telling people to shut up cannot be part of your opinion. Your earlier post and even this one leaves no room for any disagreement, which is absurd. You can be passionate about something you love and even be evangelical but there is no need to tell everyone else that your opinion is the only correct opinion to be held and anyone who holds a counter opinion should shut up or agree with you. And I have built my boat, I have already finished the game once and have no interest in playing it ever again.
Yes, it's weird to hear people say they loved 10000000 but wanted more from this. It's like they played it for a minute before judging, or even just looked at the screenshot. The game changes over time, the build up and increasing detail. Just the tweak on matching while cascading is a fundamental masterstroke which brings other match 3 games into the sad corner. Im reminded a little of people who say, "the movie was terrible; I walked out after 10 minutes". Of course, This Is Just My Opinion (but it's right!!!).
Sapphire, I didn't stop you expressing yourself. People don't have to shut up just because I say so. Grow up a bit mate - I'm into this game, that's the translation. Your faux offence just makes you seem priggish. Don't you ever get excited? To be honest I can't be arsed explaining things to you. Thanks for your riveting and souless opinions though, I've really enjoyed hearing what you think about human communications
Can you have finished the game and still not like the graphical style? Honestly, I don't even get the point of having almost 40 different beasts when most wouldn't be identifiable without the library's help. Perhaps even just having one monster with different colors (one for regular, one for physical resistance and one for magic resistance) would have made more sense. The game is fun, but it could certainly use some tweaks to make it better. People can criticize a game and still appreciate what it does well.
I don't have much issue with the graphical style, other than some tiles that are hard to distinguish from each other and the board itself (thought/power/crates). But the art style isn't great either, it's just sort of there.
Help: stuck on one quest I'm stuck on the quest "Gain 33 Power and 33 Thought". Any tips on how to pass that *&%$## quest ? I tried offering to the priest (but what ?), tried also the potions (the 50% thought and 50% power one), but still can't pass it. Any help will be really appreciated.
