for 300 steps, you need to keep playing! (and last longer) crate bombs are those dynamite looking items with a picture of a crate in the middle. wait until there are at least 10 crates on the board, them tap it.
Those crate bombs... GRRRRRR. I FINALLY beat that mission where you need to blast 10 crates. The map after I finished that stage indicates 08:21. Over 8 hours. On one mission. I estimate over 100 attempts. No matter what I did, no matter how many crates I matched, I only ever received a very small number of bombs. And I almost never managed to get enough crates on-screen to meet the mission requirements. The RNG just did not go in my favour... When I finally managed it, I received 3 bombs and probably blew up over 15 crates in that run. I felt like I had defeated Orstein and Smaugh in Dark Souls. So glad to be past that infernal mission at last! I guess this shows how compulsive this game is. I just COULD NOT let it defeat me.
finished the game in just less than 5 hours. great game. was torn between ng+ and continuing but accidentally ng+'ed. off i go again.
where can i see how many shields i currently have? the only indicator i see is the semicircle in front of the character.
Is Match 360 Tiles the last mission? It is very frustating since there is no indicator how much was my best. The distance is 621, but that doesn's tell a lot. It was one more and the game is finished. The best game I have played in a while.
I just can't force myself to buy this game despite of all the positive reviews I've read so far. It just looks incredibly ugly. I love pixel art and 8-bit visuals in general, but this one has neither. It's just ugly. I love match-3 games (if they're premium), but I'm looking for at least a slight bit of visual quality as well. I'm not being superficial but those visuals are just repulsive. I can't help it
Aesthetics can often come down to personal preference, don't force yourself to try something if the art just isn't doing it for you. There's an incredible amount of choice for great games this year, missing out on one game because you don't like the art style isn't a big deal.
It may look ugly but it is not. I don't like pixel graphics but the game sucks you in so much you don't even have time to notice the outlook of the game.
That was why I never bought 10000000, and I still wish this game had better visuals. I wouldn't be able to tell what most of these monsters are without being told. That said, at this point my biggest gripe with the game is lack of GameCenter, as it makes playing past completing the game feel utterly pointless. (Btw, the upcoming Long Siege looks like exactly what we want.)
Oooh, thanks for the heads up! Just found the dev's thread. Agree that it's hard to identify things sometimes in this game, and the absolute lack of any indicators or stats is really annoying BUT I could not stop playing it yesterday. Positives far outweigh the negatives.
WOW, thanks for the heads up. That one looks just great. And it says it's coming this month. It's on my watch list now. I should check Upcoming games section more often I guess Anyway, I thought I need some convincing to force myself into buying YMBAB, but sapphire_neo is actually right. It's not a big deal to skip one title. And the lack of GameCenter implementation is quite a big deal as well for me. So yeah..
Yeah, I had trouble putting it down until I finished the game. But it's strange to have scores that you can't compare with others. Hero Emblems doesn't have any competitive aspect to it, so I just played through the story and that's it. I would looooooove an endless mode, though. It's strange for a game to have an endless mode (like YMBAB) and then not have GC or any sort of leaderboards. It makes it replayable only so much as the player enjoys improving their own score without comparing it to others.
Very good points, but I still love this game and 10000000! btw....does anyone know what Proe is there for besides for a grumpy "hmpf!" ?
Finished my first playthrough this morning. Loved every second and directly started over again. With a highler difficulty. I Must Build Another Boat!
hello mates. i apologize if these newbie questions have been asked and answered but it's driving me up the wall trying to figure it out. 1) can i see my stats (upgrade of sword and staff) on my person? i know i can sort of see it when i purchase a new sword or staff but is that it? 2) where can i see the artifacts i have collected? can i only equip one at a time? again, is there like a stats page? 3) where can i see the spell upgrades i bought? 4) i am confused about shields. how do they work, or rather how do i know they are maxed out? 5) what does enemy damage do, does it knock me back to the left? once again, many thanks.
