I think a match of 3 counts as 1, I'm not 100% but either way whenever I got those quests, I was counting the actual responding meter at the top.
So no endless mode? I'm reading about a new game + here somewhere, but no one who's beaten it has said anything else but that. Kinda pissed to find that out if that's the case.
When you finish the game, you can start again with a higher difficulty level. That seems to be the only option.
Okay I'm stuck on this quest: Break more than 10 crates with a crate bomb. Is there a specific way to get that many on the board? I've only been able to get 6 at once!
What meter are you guys talking about? I only see the Hammerhorn meter, though I'm not sure how it fills (via matches?).
The only time I ever noticed a meter was the final quest, where it told me how far I had to go to reach the item I needed. I don't see anything in any screenshots I took. Gonna look through my videos and see if I notice anything. It's hard to keep an eye on every pixel while playing. Edit: I don't see anything in my videos, either. Not sure how you can gauge how well you're doing with quests while you're running.
Yea, the more I play the more I understand why there are so many "two steps forwards, three steps back" comments in about this game. Weird color choices for the new power and thought tiles, a disjointed steampunk/high fantasy setting, and somewhat bloated features like the monster capturing mechanic make me wonder quite a bit. No endless mode is wildly messed up considering the first one let you keep playing after you "won".
Okay thanks. But you do see the Hammerhorn meter at (almost) top right, correct? Well, gauge I guess I'd call it.
Yeah, the Hammerhorn is great, but still not sure what exactly charges it. Too hard to pay attention to things like that while playing. I guess I can analyze my videos for that, too.
Yeah, 99% of the time I didn't even notice what exactly I was fighting. I think at one point I noticed something wasn't taking any damage from swords, so I focused on magic for that area. But most of the time, I couldn't pay attention to that!
When you finish the game, you can restart at a higher difficulty, but you don't have to. You can continue upgrading your boat and running any of the stages over and over.
Ok, cool, thanks a bunch. That's actually exactly what I was talking about. Found it super weird that was a feature in the original game that seemed to be missing from this one based on the comments.
On top of that, every time I get to Jail 6, the game freezes. Apparently someone on the PC version is having the same bug. Which is funny, because I went on a Pagoda run that went on forever... Spoiler Even the numbers went to ?? past 10.
You can? How? If I try to continue, it just shows me the ending again. My only choice seems to be do nothing or start over with a harder difficulty level. Edit: Hahaha I just noticed the arrows that allow you to choose a location. I played through the whole game and never noticed that. So that's how everyone's trying to get the secret monsters? I thought my only choice would be to try on my next game lol.
I'm freezing on stage 6 in the first three areas, just assumed the rest would do it too, so I've been avoiding it. iPhone player, fwiw.
