I think I got the ending but my question is what did simogo mean by hidden or however he stated it cause I think I found it all. Wish more stories were in the app he did say you unlock things as you go right?
Reading theough the companion app is really cool. This game was really awesome, an experience all should go through.
Game Impressions Just finished the game. It's a great experience. The only game that I'd place above it in terms of overall emotional effect and story is Sword and Sorcery. However, I do agree with however said earlier that your touch with the Watchers is too brief to create a real sense of their twisted natures and the overall universe being constructed. I realized though, that after reading the Companion and completing the game, that my imagination has taken the notes and the story to sort of wonder and create theories at the kinds of beings they are and the nature of the story - maybe that's the point? Either way, it's a nice experience (but creepy). Not quite as emotionally affecting as S&S was for me, but I'm not sure if it's fair to compare the two. Makes you wonder what Simogo had to go through to get to him - if he actually exists....*mystery music plays* Spoiler And ugh, the Hydra is just like my ex-girlfriend. We share an amazing night, and then I wake up in the middle of nowhere and she locks me out of her house. So annoying.
Spoiler On a serious note though, why did the Watchers bother helping the researcher guy? They got what they wanted - two (or one?) sacrifice, and the sequence of events they wanted. Why bother changing what they did - and what David did? Or were they just aching for a new sacrifice and chose someone who already was close to believing? I'm probably over-thinking this and Simogo just threw the time-warp for the story's ending.
Go to the part of the walkthrough for where you're at: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPhone/Year+Walk/feature.asp?c=48649
Out of the whole game there was two creepy parts that made me jump then a few others that were cool looking. But the end did get me the most
Yeah...I was scared. Not super-scared, but there were two moments that got me, that I didn't see coming. Or I did, but jumped anyway. Spoiler Those two moments being the Hydra and the Mill ghost. I'm just slowly turning the wheel AND BAM!...Jevhovah's witness ghost decides to pop in.
I finished the game this morning, and thoroughly enjoyed it too. It really is a unique experience, and there's some moments which I'm sure will stick with me. I really hope this game does well in terms of sales, not just as recognition for the effort put in by Simogo but to prove to other devs that "premium" pricing with no IAP remains a viable sales model on the App Store.
Just "truly" finished the game. Wow. Fantastic experience. Only thing is, I heard of the companion app from this forum, and the fact that it had some sort of secret. Once I finished the game, and downloaded that, it all came together, but in wondering if its all "too" separate, that many gamers won't put it together to find that app also, and therefore won't experience the entire game? That said, what a great ride.
Nah, doubt it. I knew it about it since every single time the app itself was mentioned, the Companion was also mentioned. Also it's there when you search Year Walk in the AS.
Does anybody know how to open the box. Beat it already and got the 5 symbols but I can't open it. Help??
