Well I'm not that strange, and I was working from information I found here: http://simogo.wikia.com/wiki/Year_Walk Careful not to lend too much credit to my words, I really am no one important in this matter. I run a web hosting company named Catalyst Host, to help reveal my identity I believe I see some references to the words on the back of the letter at the end. What I think people are skipping over is this: http://i50.tinypic.com/wjdmra.jpg Relevant? Not? My eyes aren't making much of it.
I finished the game two times and with both endings. I read the topics here about the game and found it interesting that there might be an third ending. I saw a lot about hints that refer to the mill and a "treat" What if the treat is for real and not in the game but is in the real mill in Vedtorp.
Well that would be pretty cool but I live in the uk and can't just go off in search of a Swedish mill
And there you have a new conspiracy... Haha nope. When I was creating an account I search a good username. The Companion app was open and saw the name of the horse. I also search the music that you hear when Spoiler you in de hearth of Kyrkogrimen, in the white space
The one above Nara says 'nigh' (just hold the iphone upside down, and read the left column from top to bottom) Couldn't make out the one above min, but after seeing your comment, I guess it's 'my', but with the m upside down
Ok, ok, but you were really confusing us with your message And we tend to jump at every single thing at the moment. But you're right. There is a mystery in every song. Hm....
Yep, that message means "my awakening is nigh", as written on the Grim's stone at the graveyard. Oh, yeah, the plot thread is here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?threadid=179377 Oh, and I just found the original quote from Simogo, it's in their blog: Quote: - We believe that very few will find every little secret. Those of you who will are in for a big treat. They clearly AREN'T referring to the second ending.
Been playing around with the runestone inscription but there's not enough of a sample to go on, and as many of the runes don't seem to exist in any known alphabet I assume we're dealing with a made-up one. Working backwards from the single letter clue in the compendium and assuming no digraphs and an english translation, the best I can match is: Spoiler 'around my crypt in the sacred order' Which is kind of relevant, but still a stretch.
I have to agree. I mean it's hard to be too critical of Simogo when they have done a masterful job of creating an atmospheric, immersive experience. The "Aha!" moments are great. However, I was expecting the world to open up or something when I found out how to open the box. Seeing credits roll for a second time with a not very satisfying second ending was a big letdown for me. Either there are hidden secrets so obscure that nobody can find them, or the promise of a "big treat" is not fulfilled.
As I said above, they aren't referring to the second ending. Nearly everybody can see that without help. You just need to watch the credits. They speak of "very few". And looking at how they handled riddles pre-release, they'll give us a hard, hard time. We've seen it all. Now we need to think and put it all together.
Ah sorry, I went through the whole thread and the decoders thread, but could only see that someone had laid out the runes, not decoded them. Must have missed a spoiler
Don't have the game on my phone at the moment so I can't try it on my end, but have people tried putting those dates from the companion (the Oct-Nov ones) into the companion's login screen? Since each pair is 4 digits long, maybe there's something there (or to do it in reverse order, or something. Who knows).
I tried every single effin' combination. The numbers 03-10, 30-30 and 11-19 (or 19-11) must serve another purpose.
I was thinking of Year Walking one more time on the 31st, same date Theodor and Daniel walked, coz apparently that's the best time to do so (according to his calendar). Probably on Feb 31st as well as dates in March.
Haha, sorry. I'm numb and dumb right now. You know what I meant. Spoiler The date you get at the end of the game, use that date on the Year Walk companion app. Read through the diary and write down the code to unlock the mysterious box.
