    Does Theodor Almsten exist?

    Definitely not.

Great game, though it made me late to work today :)
Decided to check this out for just a few minutes before sleeping last night, couldn't stop till I (fake-)finished it

You are absolutely right. There is not a single mention of him on the internet outside of quotes given by Simogo. Simogo allegedly had him write a brief story about Year Walk on their site here but I looked through more links and came across this: http://almsten.se/ Along with www.vedtorp.se, there seems to be more to this mystery.

I bet there's more hidden behind that keypad in the companion app.

This description of Almsten has some precise year numbers. I wonder if there is more to them? Or to the titles of the books? Are these hidden clues? And which clues are hidden on Vedtorp? Maybe the picure names or underlying pop-up text...?

    *goes Googleing*

It really wasn't scary. The atmosphere was chilling, but not scary. The mill jump scare though, that got me good, and the myriad one got me, but not as well as the mill. I didn't read the lore until after though, so I didn't know the backstory of all the monsters.

I've entered every year mentioned in the companion app and the early videos and have come up with nothing. I really think these numbers are some sort of clue:

    3-10
    30-30
    19-11

vedtorp.se has an internet holder number "ltk4096-1220119"
almsten.se has an internet holder number "lfp6017-1220120"

Notice how they are sequential. Are there more? They were registered on the same day.

I have also e-mailed every e-mail mentioned in their lore: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] and I got bouncebacks from all.

BTW, Daniel Svensson, as mentioned in the companion app, is the same name as the drummer for In Flames (my fav band) \m/

Hm... then it's needed to check how the notes of Almsten in his log compare to these dates. There's still a strong connection between the companion and the Vedtorp page, I guess.

I slowly believe that the true games starts when you enter the number into the keypad...

I got the code on the companion app and found all of the symbols to open the box, I opened the box and then credits came up again, is this the end of the game or is there any more?

I know... but I guess there's also the way to the "big treat" hidden

Has anyone taken note of the article on vedtorp.se about the church's missing stones?

The question is, where is Almsten now? After his last log entry, he wasn't mentioned ever again.
He obviously did a year walk.
Has he sacrificed himself? The Watchers need a sacrifice from each Year Walker.

Anyone able to understand the Grim's ASCII picture on his page?

And... did the Watchers help him? Why?

I am pretty sure we need to help Almsten as he helped David. But how? Is there a third ending?
One that is positive for David and Stina?

According to his log, strange symbole were sent to Almsten, challenging him. Now it seems the players are challenged and get symbols, like the goat via Almsten's page. There are any things unsolved, like the combination of numbers in his log.

As a dev myself (who wants to continue being one) it's an issue. I'm constantly told, by every expert in the field, that the only way to make enough money to make more games is to give your game away to a gazillion people - most of whom will hate your work because you can't just headbutt the screen to 'win' - in order for a small proportion who actually care to experience a horrible payment model. There's always the less egregious 'demo to full version upgrade' model, but - again - all data indicates it doesn't work anywhere near as well... forcing you to risk future development if you don't make the 'smart' move.

Has anyone done a poll of TA users who actually engage with the various models? I'd be really interested.

I have resigned myself to barely making a cent, selling for one price (no sales/giveaways) and having my beloved players hate me just a little bit less. :)

I'm glad this game's doing well, it's currently 10th paid app and 44th top grossing in the UK store
