Try connecting the controller once the game is running. It should do the trick!

We've been working in teams on both Space Marshals and Xenowerk. Xenowerk was already in production when we we're dev chapter 2 for Space Marshals.

Bottom line is that the launch of chapter 3 wouldn't go any faster without launching Xenowerk as we've been continously working on Space Marshals. When chapter 2 was launched we started working on Chapter 3 right away. If everything goes according to plan you can expect Chapter 3 later this summer.

The thoughts behind Xenowowerk. Were to make an action shooter that you can pick up at any time given any spare minutes and just get right into the action. Getting as high of a score as possible. This is NOT the thought behind Space Marshals. Thus, Space Marshals has longer playing sessions and is a much slower pace game. Comparing the prices Xenowerk comes for not even half of what Space Marshals we're launched at. Coming down to the point that Space Marshals been taking a much longer time period to develop.

All in all the pixelbite studio takes off from what the crowd is demanding. We saw a demand for a more casual action shooter when launching Space Marshals. So that's what we did! I guess each has its own taste, and that's fine by us! I just hope this brings some clarity to what we're aiming for with Xenowerk.

    Thnx for the feedback!

We're already digging into adding more content to the game. So feel free to suggest what you would love to see in an upcoming patch!

Not determined just yet, we've just started discussing what content to add to add more depth to the game. I'll def put up bosses to the consider list though!

Great to hear your thoughts and looking forward to any possible new content! I've been running the levels over and over trying to string together crazy streaks, so much fun :D

First off, I love that this is pick up and play for a few minutes game. It's icon lives next to Space Marshals and selection is based on how much spare time I have at that moment. The speed of even its loading time is therefore appreciated.

    Update Requests:
    1. More enemy types - in addition to completely new ones, this could include variants of the originals e.g. a different color 'zergling' that's twice as fast
    2. Move the 3 'stars' to a less crucial part of the screen
    3. Reduce the iPad button size on the pause/map screen (hides a lot of screen)
    4. Allow me click on equipped weapon for comparing stats when shopping for new weapon
    5. Make the switch weapons an actual button zone not the catch all i.e. a random tap on a random part of the screen shouldn't change weapons
    6. Possible game mode: open doors with roaming/homing mutants for added difficulty since you can't go room by room
    7. Possible game mode: added difficulty by not seeing mutants through doors/walls
    8. Possible game mode: added difficulty by killing the lights
    9. Possible objective: retrieve something breakable so you have to carefully clear that room

Looking forward to updates for both games!

I know this is a lot of work and will greatly increase the app size, but new tile sets. I would love the factory levels to feel like a factory, the military base to feel, well, military.

Don't get me wrong, the game loop is solid. You just may have done yourself a disservice by splitting the towers rather than just making a long survival mode with the one tileset. The chapters create an expectation of different settings, if not encounters.

I'll also say that one of your main methods of ramping difficulty is making levels larger, which undermines the short play sessions goal.

I'd also like to know what I need to improve to max my level ratings. A par time, score threshold, etc.

Finally, consider a scattering a few timed levels, such as having to shut down a reactor before it explodes. It's an easy win, and forces players to rethink their strategy. I say this as a player who generally hates timed levels and escort missions, but I think they'll fit well. Right now I have a loadout that works and feel no compulsion to upgrade.

Is there a way to reduce the strain of the game on the device? I mentioned earlier but this and Space Marshalls are a few of the games that run the hottest on the newest devices. The iphone 6 gets ridiculously hot just after a few minutes of play time. I feel like something could be done since many other high graphics games that are even more gigantic in scale don't burn the hands.

    Thanks for the great game!

Well, you know, I think they were pretty smart by launching this title at such a low price range, as it gives people like me, who haven't bought space marshals, an idea of what to expect from that game.

I'm having lots of fun with this game, more than I've had with implosion, and now I'm curious to try space marshals out, since I'm guessing it offers what this game can't, a compelling story to go along with the great gameplay.

I mean this game is great and all... But better than implosion? That's a bold claim.

Agreed about the price point though. Hopefully they can use this to spring board people into playing SM, maybe tie the stories together or something, that'd be cool

Hehe I'm not saying it's better than implosion, just that I'm having more fun with it. You know, it's all subjective, but implosion never really hooked me, even if I was hyped to try it out.

Maybe hype is to blame here, since I had never heard of this game and kind of bought it on a whim, while implosion took its time to arrive and when it did, well, it just didn't click with me.
