Loving the game, especially the strategic elements. Is there iCloud saves? Would be really good if I could continue on another device, preferably my mini.
Didn't notice iCloud feature. I would love to see an endless mode, like survival, but you do get to upgrade your ships inbetween.
After playing the hell out of this game and trying to perfect my skills, I must say this is definitely the most intense space shooter game I have played on any platform. No iOS game has made me grip my phone so hard and have my heart pounding through every level. Between having to switch pilots to make sure your fleet stays alive and blasting away baddies with some seriously sick space weaponry; this game is one tough but delicious cookie! But every second is so much fun, I am definitely looking forward to a content update or sequel if that's possible. This game goes right with Neon Chrome and Crimsonland as some of the coolest games I have ever had the joy of playing. 10tons, you guys rock! #####
Each chapter is like beginning a new, more difficult game. In fact, the ships you begin with are different in each chapter. You can of course sell and buy, but it's better to get used to the new ships.
I left a nice 5 star review on the AppStore. It should show up by tomorrow. It really irks me when people complain about having to pay for a game. I mean really. $5 is not much for a quality game. If you leave a review about the gameplay or something like that I get that. But to just say it's not right or fair that I have to pay for a game and you are wasting my time with your game is downright ridiculous. I wish we could, just as reviewers, respond to people like that on the AppStore. Maybe we could change the culture. This is why we don't have more developers. Billy
Same here! "Paid and loving it! It's a STRATEGIC SHOOTER people! Not a SHMUP! If you're looking for something strategic and challenging, buy to unlock, worth the price and then some. To add, rpg elements involved here, upgrading ships and more." What I left, so much negativity for people who did not pay for the game, smh
I know, this game is fantastic! I'm so pissed that people on the App Store would do them so wrong. These guys worked hard and made an incredible game for a fair price. This is why we can't have nice things.
I agree. I revised my review after reading the negative's on the store. It irks me to read how people that invest hardly any time into it will trash it with two stars. The more I read those reviews, I'm thinking what kind of mindset are we as iOS gamers becoming? I mean when did it become a surprise to pay a one time price for a game after trying it out?Anyway, going to sit down tonight and enjoy another round with this awesome game that I can never get enough of.
Oh damn I was doing so well then on the 3rd mega boss battle I got absolutely crushed. That level is insane (which also includes massive amounts of my most hated enemy, the flying discus). Each of the bosses in this game are so well made, the challenge is perfect. I think the 2nd boss was the most fun / challenging boss balance I've had in a while. The pincers were actually a clever idea.
Ikr. They throw maybe 5 teleporting ones on the screen + mini boss + regular enemies = going to have a bad time.
It's a very strategic game. Out of all the group of levels, I think the 3rd was the only one in which I wasn't happy with the standard ships offered, so I sold one of them and bought one introduced in the previous bunch of levels. The flying discus can be killed quite fast with the right ship and precise shots If you think boss 3 is insane, wait to get to the last boss. That one needs a lot of strategy and patience.
I beat it in one go actually. Not to sound arrogant or anything I honestly thought the medium bosses were harder since they would involve smaller enemies simultaneously. Also, I usually sold the heavier ships unless it was the japanese type (with cluster missiles) and especially if the mission involved asteroids.
My favorite ship overall is definitely the Russian machine gun ship, that shield is what is saving me in every mission. Shield hit? Swap ship. Wait 5 seconds, swap back. Repeat. The burning bullets are also just icing on the cake. The missiles are actually pretty weak so I just use them to hit those annoying discus. They seem to be near useless on bosses. The Russian ship lacks the strong firepower so my favorite heavy ship is the Japanese railgun ship. I can't go without it. That thing pierces bosses like butter. The only problem is keeping that slow hunk of ship alive. Third favorite is the laser or the shotgun. Laser is great but only if you can buy the tracking beam, that thing works wonders on those discus punks and stealth ships. The shotgun is a great all-rounder even late game because of the wide shot, allowing you to shoot and dodge more easily. I absolutely LOVE the strategies involved with different ship. I want more content! --- And I just finally beat the 3rd boss with sweaty hands - I had ONE Russian fighter left with pretty much 1HP. That was brutal. My ships were falling like flies. I've been selling off my ships in Phobos/Earth for my preferred setups.
My favorite ship is the one that has a cloaking device. That's the one I used mainly to kill the last boss. Cloak and patience
