The CryoChamber on the website is built directly from the geometry and FX we implemented in the in-engine opening cutscene. The resolution is higher on the website due to it running on a computer as opposed to the iPhone. It will closely represent the final look in the cutscene.

    Sincerely,

    Alpha in-game footage video live!

    Guys,

The following link is to a video of a bunch of different things within the game.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVjkaHWzdX0

The video showcases combat, some UI, the cutscene from the beginning, and a smattering of other stuff from within the game.

Bear in mind we are still in alpha and the game requires a bit more polish before she is ready for prime time! Have a look-see and we hope you enjoy all of the team's hard work at Nine Pound.

    Sincerely,

    Gary Haus

That was pretty much the greatest thing I've ever seen. Please tell me that music is used in game!

Music is the main soundtrack in game. Targeting is done by tapping. So as fast you can tap!

Looking good. Terrain looks a bit too dead though.I understand it's a post-apocalyptic world and it is suppoused to be dead but there could be little thing like small stones or rubble, and not just plain ground. Adds more to the feeling :p

We are in Alpha so performance is being tuned. Rest assured the team is working very hard at fully optimizing everything!

The wormhole effect was created based on the faux-future tech we designed. There will be a bunch of information on the fast travel, communication, and eventual space travel technologies and there associated systems up on our website very soon.

    Sincerely,

    Gary Haus

The video looked pretty good, but PLEASE try and make the texture quality better! That's the only thing that looksd pretty bad!

The textures look terrible, and it looks dead. It doesn't have the feeling of being the remnants of a living, breathing world.

    @ antispin

Anyone can get into the Beta test, but we will be requiring participants to complete an NDA form after being selected.

As the game will still be in a testing phase, ironing out defects and bugs, it won't be in a position to be previewed or reviewed until it is ready.

Have the beta testers been picked yet? Its been almost a month since the applications were opened up to apply.

Either i didn't get picked, or you guys at NPS have a lot applications to go through.

How is the game coming along? Have the texture been updated? (After hearing someone a few posts back, i had to ask.)

Apologies for the recent decline in activity here at TA!

We have been optimizing and tweaking textures in preparation for Beta, which has kept us hustling, with less time for other things, such as significant others and keeping our media up-to-date. :)

With things winding down, we look forward to getting a new video or two out to you, and some updated screenshots within a week or so!
