It's pvp. You make a squad composed of both aliens and humans. Each unit has a point cost and you set a point limit
Yuppa... For instance... Set 20,000 pts-- titan armor is something like 1,700 pts, plasma riffle is 1,700 pts, sergent perks is 700 pts., col. perks is 2,000 pts, psi abilities is another 1,300 pts... Ect... Then aliens have a set point value... You can have exalt mercs, ect. I love the way it's done. I wasn't really sure what to expect, but having this much customizable depth in MP is awesome. I can see myself playing it quite a bit, and I've never really been a fan of MP gameplay. =oP You can go into MP and start setting up teams and saving them too... So that you're ready when you do get the itch, or time, or play more and feel more confident... Whatever. =oD
I've not played battlelore. Looks interesting, but i still dont think it will be better than xcom. Why not just get both? I busted my budget with games recently, but after christmas i plan to get battlelore.
This definitely makes me feel better... I'm finally finding matches... But my wins aren't registering with GC. =o/ I've had 2. And 11 losses... I've only been matches up with a couple of people from the top of the GC boards... Hybrid3473, Zelox and Autolex are pretty much the 3 guys kicking my butt all over the place... But I think I have a team that might be decent... I'm so hooked... My wife hates this game now.
Battle lore is getting online multiplayer in the future which makes it much more appealing to me.. Xcom is the best tbs game arguably on any platform.. Get Xcom then get battlelore is my suggestion .. Banner saga and shadowrun are other really good ones ##
Lol Hybrid us a beast man. I had more than a couple of matches against him before in Enemy Unknown and all were losses lol. I also had one match against him in EW and he decimated me
Yeah dude, hybrid is the real deal whooped me up in EU with 2 chryslids and beserker. Friggin embarrassing. EU didn't register all your wins either, but at least this one does not keep track of your losses. I had over 100 register wins in EU but my guess is I had like 500 or more actual wins. Autolex is my dude, me and him have been scrapping for a long time. He's got some nice wins. If you put the time in, learn the good hiding/tactics from your losses you will ramp up. I've been playing this xcom both more than any other games for the past year and a half or so. The only way to get better is to take your whoopins learn some stuff and get back in. Pretty soon you will be one of the feared ones yourself. X com Killa!!
Since I got my iPad with more space than my phone I've seriously been considering this and just seen the price drop so I'll have to get it now at that price. Tempted by FTL which I missed out on too and a few others....more than a few others..
Picked up FTL but haven't had time to play yet, still thinking about this because of the file size but I do have the space. Wanting Baldurs Gate 2 and think I seen others here mention Banner Saga and another recent game for tbs to look at too. There are more but I can't remember right now as I just woke up. Edit: oh and been thinking about Space Hulk but unsure as opinions seem a little mixed. But I did love Warhammer Quest but it doesn't sound as good as that and it does have a large file size. But I got a new 64gb iPad Air 2 so catching up on iPad games I've missed over the years. I knew I should have got the 128gb....although I know I shouldn't keep that much installed that it fills up anyway.
If you have XCOM there is no need to get Space Hulk. The play in Space Hulk is so slow it'll put you to sleep. Not to mention that it only comes with like 12 missions with the remaining missions needing to be bought through IAP.
