ZOMGWTFBBQ! Game breaking bug! Do you guys remember the bug in EU where the final confrontation in the last mission doesn't load? It's back again! I tried reloading etc but still shows a black screen after you open the purple door and you can't advance. IIRC, the final boss should be speaking when you reach the door or something which doesn't happen here. The screenshot shows the blank/black screen after opening the final door. And yep, that's my Chinese MEC in red standing at the door way after opening it lol
So... I FINALLY finished my first full game in EU, and have now moved on to EW. So far, WOW! I've only come across one new enemy, no new maps yet... But the depth of customization in regards to your solders is insane. I thought EU was deep (and it is...), but there's like more than double the amount of things you can do with or equip or give your soldiers, and it's pretty overwhelming ATM. I think when I hit the halfway point I'm going to scratch it and start over just so I have a better idea of what exactly I want to do. Meld is also a HUGE game changer. In EU, I was very cautious. I always had half my team in over watch and took forever to work my way around the stages, but now I'm dashing everywhere looking for canisters and flying through stages. It's great. Anywho... Maybe this'll end up being one of the very few iOS games I get into MP gaming with. How is the MP? Are there an abundance of hackers/cheaters? Are they dealt with by 2K?
So I'm 20 hours into the game and these missions are getting tough! What's making it difficult and damn near impossible is only having one mech.. And now I don't have the resources to build new ones.. I havent been collecting to much meld and thats a huge mistake.. Looks like I'm screwed and might have to start a new game.. Ughhhhh
I had bought te complete XCOM collection for my Mac but still haven't got around to trying it. I was under the impression that Enemy Within was some sort of expansion but after reading more and more it appears it is just more or less a retelling of the original title with loads of new features. I can now see why they removed the original from the App Store but I can also see why others may be upset since they paid all that cash and now are basically forced to buy the new one if they don't have the original backed up somewhere. To add I was one of those ones who purchased the original for my Mini but was unsuccessful at playing it due to constant crashes. I have since purchased two new iPads for the house, iPad Air 2 and an iPad Mini w/ Retina. I've only played so far on the Mini and it plays flawlessly, the iPad Air 2 is pretty much being used by my kids only. lol Oh and I had that feature that auto downloaded new purchases on my old iPad Mini, which I'm giving to my brothers daughter, and noticed XCOM EW installed to it so I tried playing. Performance wasn't the best but no crashes in the short amount I played unlike what I experieced with the first XCOM game.
Wow really?! You haven't run into the bug with the final encounter? That's great! For me, I loaded a game that was saved 3days earlier on the same playthrough. I hope the final encounter loads when I reach it again
Oh, no... I screwed up and didn't have two saves in my first two games... I'm on my third startup. I haven't even reached psi abilities yet in EW. I am a little worried about the final mission though... Playing through to there and running into a game ending bug has got to be frustraiting&disappointing. Hopefully they can fix it quickly and easily without wiping our saves. =o/ Did you contact 2K? I've been having the elevation issues (when trying to move from ground floor building to dirt in the map with rubble and blown up buildings everywhere. It's made positioning my team where I want them pretty much impossible. Right now I guess I can just hope their first update fixes a lot of the issues people are having (er that I haven't experienced yet).
Im talking my sweet time with EW so i haven't reach the final encounter yet. Do give us feedback on your playthrough, btw what's your device kabayan?
Quite certain this is not possible. For instance Llamasoft recently had all their apps pulled and none are in my purchase history. I do have them all backed up to my computer though luckily.
Edit** So, I re-checked my purchase history, and it's there now. I'm turning on my comp to try iTunes (I HATE syncing my phone, I've run into issues EVERY time) and see if I can get this backed up... Thanks guys , I know they removed it ( I was checking every day for a week after it was pulled), but I never would have checked again
Thanks Syntheticvoid... For showing me there's a search bar in the purchase history section!!!! I always wondered why there wasn't a search bar, and never thought I could obtain it by pulling down...
Welp... that would be a no to iTunes for me... so I'm stuck until I find a way to sync my phone without loosing half my data. =oP At least I still have it on my phone.
Reinstalled the app on my phone and it worked. Some mutons appeared then the purple door opened by itself. Finally finished the game. Now for classic ironman
