Who should you let become Mech soldiers? I assume you'd wait to keep your main MAIN units the same class and not change them (unless adding psi) abilities? Mech units completely change your units so it's a kind of sacrifice.
I haven't reached that point yet, i'm still in the 1st council mission lol. But looking at the vids, those MECs look really badass!
Does anyone know how to stop the zoom level from reverting to a tight zoom every time you switch between characters? EU used to do that too, but I think it got fixed in a later update. Any help appreciated!
It seems to not do it if you tap on the soldiers instead of using their names in the bottom left corner.
Yes certain. I went and double checked EU. Hopefully they'll update EW with this soon! It's driving me crazy.
I dont know but I made like 4 of my guys mech types. So in every mission I take 2 mech guys and 2 regular guys. I havent done the thing to increase my squad size yet so I only take 4 guys into a mission.
taken from the xcom wikia, a summary for the abilities gained from each class: commando -> Shock-Absorbent Armor for flanking and close-quarter rushes. heavy -> Body Shield for tanking and mid-range firefights. sniper -> Platform Stability for ambushes and long-range sniping. support -> Distortion Field for supporting rigid squad formations.
It appears then that it's device related because on iPad Air this runs as smooth as butter for me compared to EU. I had those same issues with EU but this runs beautifully. Your hardware is good enough but the game either is not optimised properly for iPhone 6 or it could be a caching problem if you don't have much space. I have 128 GB.
On ipad mini 2 the games also stuck at loading screen of situation room, selected after completing second mission
Same here. IPhone 6. That and the game getting laggy when you go to a place with multiple floors is really annoying me. If what the others say is true that it runs better on an iPad that's pretty bad optimization. I didn't have that problem in EU on the iPhone 6. Thanks for the answers to my mech question guys. I just made my first one. The kinetic strike is godly. However his gun is lack luster because he can't aim for crap even up close. If he's standing in front of an enemy at point blank his accuracy is about 60ish %. I converted a squaddie to have one early for earlier benefits.
Man I am starting to get pissed. This mission has taken me like over an hour. Its one where you investigate some disease thing. Anyway guys are like coming out of a whale and once you active some airstrike thing you have to reach a extraction zone and I just cant make it man. Any tips?
