Sucks when great games like this one get taken off the App Store .

At least you can play it on PC and consoles!

Wow! So this answers my question.

I just now went to the App Store to re-download this game to play a couple of missions. I was scratching my head and thinking, i swear this wAs a thing and I swear that I bought this. It was nowhere to be found. Pardon my French but this is really shitty that I can't just re-DL and play. Not the end of the world, but just a shitty feeling. Oh well.

Yup. Me too. Sure wish I could have the original back as well. I loved the opening of that version way more than the new one. Also, I wish we could just have the option to download one or the other. Or they could have made the new content a different app or IAP. Or they could have an option within the app to turn on/off the new content.

 

So, the game is dead, when iOS 11 is released? Great!

 

This game died in 2014 when it was removed from the app store.

 

There's an updated one called XCOM Enemy Within, which although isn't compatible with iOS 11, was announced to get an update in the future for iOS 11 compatibility. But don't get your hopes up though. Remember when they announced an update to fix Bioshock? Yep, vaporware.
