MS have finally admitted the RAM in the Xbox One is GDDR3.

And now for some stupid reason (money?), Gamespot is trying to make this sound like a positive. It isn't.

No, stock goes up and down all the time. Sony still have plenty of chances to screw up.

A couple of interesting points from IGN:

How big is the hard drive?

500GB, but you can't use all of it. Microsoft's official Xbox One information site contains a significant caveat in the small print: "Xbox One system software uses a significant amount of storage; less internal storage will be available to users."

    Indie game devs self publishing?

Independent developers wishing to get games on Xbox One's Xbox Live Arcade will still be unable to self-publish, it has been announced.
As it currently stands, indie devs must get a publishing deal with either Microsoft Games Studios or a third-party publisher to get their games on XBLA. The exception to this is titles that opt to release on Xbox Live Indie Games, though this has more financial drawbacks for developers than the more lucrative Arcade section.

NOTE: I apologise for the lack of direct links, don't know how to do it from within the TA app.

Just more proof Microsoft are greedy

    ________________________________________________

Just so you all know I am not a fanboy. Let me tell you my gaming experience with last gen consoles (Wii, Xbox 360, PS3)

1st last gen console I got was the Wii. I really liked the Twilight Princess and Mario Kart, but I later traded it in (before Skyward Sword was even announced) because I felt like all the games were for either kids or were just plain crap.

Then I got an Xbox 360 later on. I liked it for a while until I started realizing what a huge RIPOFF it was.

Red Ring of Death Multiple times. especially after the warrantee expired (coincidence? I think not! More money wasted to have it fixed)

Multiplayer. They charge you $60 a year for multiplayer when I could be getting free with the Playstation 3.

1st you buy the game, then you need to pay $60 to access online features?!?!?! FU Microsoft!!!!

The Xbox stopped working and I threw the piece of disgusting slime in the garbage.

Then I got a PS3 and loved it. Free multiplayer and Blu-ray. However, I really hated the fact that they were always doing maintenance every other week, which got super annoying, but I could still use it as a Blu-ray player.

I eventually became sick and disgusted with all the 1st person shooters that were plaguing the market and also became disgusted with how greed companies such as EA and Activision were, pumping out the same Call of Duty titles year after year which were basically clones of each other.

I used to like the Dead Space franchise until EA decided to say "Hey! Screw the hardcore horror audience that made Dead Space so popular and lets target casual gamers instead!"

I didn't bother buying Dead Space 3. I played the Demo, it was horrible. Dead Space had died.

I eventually became an ipod gamer and a retro gamer. I started playing all the old Zeldas I never played and some Gameboy and Gameboy advance games and found out about and bought all these cool games for ipod because the devs actually care about their audience and are not as greedy or crooked as big companies.

I also sold all my PS3 games.

Anyways, I believe you should buy a console for it's exclusives, not for how much powerful this console is than that one.

For PS4 almost all of the new features announced were related in one way or another to gaming. Xbox one, not so much

I dunno how limited your taste in games is, but that comment made me wonder... so I counted how many PS3 games I have that I wouldn't consider to be FPS and got 89. Still, at least you loved it at first, that gets you a point from me.

I played more than just 1st person shooters. I played god of war, gears of war games, car games, sky rim.

Sorry if I came off as an @hole.

Every console has great exclusives. I guess I was just letting my anger for microsoft cloud my judgement.

    Sorry.

Now everyone probably thinks I'm an @hole :(

Hey no worries, I wasn't calling you anything. I just thought maybe you were missing all the great non-FPS games somehow. There's definitely too much recycling done by the likes of EA and Activision, but I still find enough games to buy.

Apparently Microsoft has also said today that less than 5% of people play old games, and if you have backwards compatibility you are backwards.

It's kinda funny watching the die-hard MS fans on Facebook turning a blind eye to the myriad of issues surrounding the Xbox One. Most of their arguments seem to revolve around swearing at PS4 supporters, while the arguments from PS4 supporters seem to be based on which platform is most likely to provide them with a quality gaming experience.

Honestly, I've never really seen much of a reason to choose an Xbox over a Playstation. I'll be sticking with Playstation for this next Gen and Xbox One seems to be Microsoft's way of patting me on the back and saying, "Good choice!"

Microsoft won't be patting you on the back, all of the core gamers around the world will be, as it is the correct choice. The only people who will say otherwise are Microsoft loyalists who probably own all of their products and swear by them, even if what they announced yesterday was a toaster, these people would be screaming their praises.

Microsoft fanboys have to be the worst fanboys I have ever come across.

Many people use common sense and facts to tell why they don't like a console, but all I've seen on youtube comments from Xbox fanboys are "ps4 sux because its dumb" or "Sony is sh*tting their pants" or "if you don't like Xbox then your a dbag"

Honestly, their arguments are weak and like you said they just ignore the facts.

Of course this can be said for all fanboys, but from what I've seen it mostly comes from Xbox fanboys.
