Thats, if it is true (Gryphon is the one posting this), is extremely underhanded. I was looking to maybe buy one to try it out. But if this is true, I will not support the xbox one.
You have to stay focused. MS are going to show us games, and some of these games are going to look good, but concentrate on the bigger picture. There's absolutely no doubt that both consoles will end up with heaps of fantastic titles during the next gen, so try not to be fooled by the virtual candy Microsoft dangles in front of you and think about which machine is going to do the job best.
The overseas (Euro, U.K) prices are even worse after conversions... The 'reaction' from the crowd is priceless:
The best part is that you can hear people begin to clap and then mostly stop after the price is mentioned.
Yep, definitely waiting till next year. I expected that price, but yeah, with Christmas right around the corner then, I just won't have the money for a new console.

The thing is, some people just like a certain brand. Not necessarily fan boys even, but even casual gamers. Some people think that iOS is better than Android, but they just don't want to change really. Greg Miller (IGN) said it from personal experience. He was really young, and told his mom he wanted an N64, but then she said 'But Greg, you've always liked Sega haven't you?' And he realized he'd rather have the Sega, because he just liked the brand. It's not like his mom even tried to influence him or anything, she just pointed out that he'd always liked Sega, and then he said basically 'Oh yeah, even though this system is probably better, I'm used to this other brand'. But it's true, Xbone will probably lose a lot of people, but I wouldn't say it's dead just yet. I will say that by the end of this generation, I think that at least one (if not more) of the big 3 will be out of the hardware market. I think that the least likely to leave the market will be PS4 right now though.
Actually, Nintendo has enough money that if they end up losing money for the Wii U, they could just shrug and make a brand new console to compete with the PS4
I was actually typing that, when I realized, if it was a huge failure, who knows? Maybe they wouldn't want to risk it again and go the safe way and just make games? Trust me, I don't want them to fail (I mean, I have a Wii U why would I want it to fail?), but if they did, regardless of how much money they have, there is a pretty good chance they could say 'Why risk another failure?' and drop out of the hardware (again, I sure hope not). All I'm saying, is by the end of this 'Next' gen, gaming is gonna be different. What if Apple took one of their places? Maybe the Steam Box? The Ouya (please not this lol)? Who knows?
