PS3 has just as many FPS and I don't really see all that many games with cute characters, so I don't really get it. All the big titles do not have cute characters. Maybe you are joking?
I'll use my Xbox at least until next year. Then I'll buy the Xbox one. I hate the PS3 UI and I doubt PS4 will be no difference. Xbox is just so much more gamer friendly IMO.
You know what? Lets drop the convo and ignore him. Anyway, I liked the xbox ui, until the last update. Now its filled with ads.

I like how desperately they're trying to re-word the bad points to sound positive again. "A Modern, Connected Device". Sorry, you can't just put "modern" in front of it and fix the problem. Let me play games offline or go to hell. Kotaku are covering this pretty well BTW: http://kotaku.com/xbox-one-games-can-only-be-given-to-one-person-ever-511754913
In the future, this console will be a decent paperweight. Edit: Never read the comments on a kotaku thread again. Ow. Ow. Ow. Brain, I'll take you away from the bad place.
The xbox one will be another failure at least in Japan and most other places in Asia, cuteness are preferred in Asia especially in Japan.
Its just so painful to read there. The articles are decent but the comments, e gad. Sorry I made it a big red button. Deja Vú. I tought I already read this post in an earlier one.
There are so many draw backs to this crap. I have always loved Xbox but I'm going PS4 on this, but I have heard that you need to pay for psn on ps4,has that been confirmed?
With the sheer amount of online features the PS4 has (streaming, video upload, remote assistance, instant trials, etc) I wouldn't be surprised if they needed a bit of cash to keep it running smoothly. There's enough fun stuff involved that I actually want to use that I'd be happier paying a fee than I was when I paid for XBL Gold. I suspect they might have different levels of memberships as the PS3 does. A basic package which pretty much just covers multiplayer gaming and then a premium service for all the perks. Don't think anything has been officially announced yet.
Im a little heart broken at the policy of sharing used games or not being able to sell them. There are plenty of games in the past that I can't find anywhere except ebay and other random places such as garage sales. Taking this away will make it even more difficult to find hidden gems.
