No console wars here, I just want thoughtful & insightful reasons as to why I should choose one side over the other. Here's some background, I loved the Halo series, but felt that Halo 4 was seriously lacking. Im also a fan of PS exclusives such as R&C, GoW & Sly. So tell me exactly which console should I choose.
PC. Just kidding. IMO if we're talking consoles then I prefer Xbox One's exclusive games such as Sunset Overdrive, Phantom Dust, Quantum Break, and the new CRACKDOWN. Not to mention fable and Dead Rising 3. Also the ability to suspend games. Although Playstation has its exclusives, the Last of Us is overrated and I've already experienced inFamous. I don't feel like naming other exclusives but what I prefer with the PS4 is the better specs and the touchpad on the controller, a little gimmick per say.
Yeah, good points up above. I find the Xbone controller to be leagues more comfortable to use, which is another thing to consider. What console do most of your family/friends have? I'd say that's the most important factor. I feel like what the Xbone lacks in reference to 300p less in resolution it more than makes up for in every other aspect. But to be perfectly honest, wait till E3. They might be announcing an Xbox One Slim
Yes all very good points, and yeah I will be waiting for E3, but I'm hoping for some more opinions too!
I may get neither (depends on how much I care about BluRay movies) but I have been split down the middle too. I thought I might break the tie by deciding whether I prefer XBox's offset stick layout. But having played with a PS-style controller on my Mac, and an MFI offset controller on my iPhone/projector, I can't seem to form a preference. "What your friends have" is indeed the best tie-breaker. Sadly, what my friends have is board games....
Did you use a Dualshock 3? Because the new Dualshock 4 (PS4 controller) has quite a few revisions/improvements, especially in terms of the sticks and triggers. Alas, I still find the triggers to squishy and the sticks too slippy. Only thing the DualShock 4 has on the Xbone pad is a superior D-pad. Hahah, and if that's the case, I say go Wii U. (That's what I did, only use the Xbone at friends houses). I don't play too many shooty-bang-bang games as much any more, and find that the iOS/Wii U combo provides the perfect amount of nostalgia and modern indie game goodness.
