I've used the turtle beach 41s and own the tritton ax720s. I thought about getting the astros but it's 250 dollars w/ mixamp and I'm hearing it's not worth the price. It supposedly sounds just as good as my 720s which cost 130 and those sound very comparable to the turtle beach x41s. I really liked the Turtle beach x41s and would recommend those if you don't mind changing the batteries out constantly.
Yeah but buying $100+ headphones is worse. These games are 99 cents. I'm not about to buy a modded touch screen for my ipod so I can shoot faster, or some headphones so I can hear everything that goes on in Doodle Jump.
Meh, whatever floats his boat. Some people shell out thousands to get the best TV possible for simply movies, along with surround sound system and mini-fridges. While I don't know how it'd improve the experience, since video games are mostly visual, it's whatever. Why not get a really nice pair for both music and video games, though? Doesn't BOSE worth either way?
Hmmm...actually I take what I said back. If I was rich I'd get a 3D HDTV, with all the consoles, every good game, fancy headphones, surround sound, heated and vibrating chairs, a mini fridge, dramatic lighting, modded controllers, and hookers....dunno bout that last part. But since I'm not rich I use the "I have a life outside videogames" approach to make me feel more secure about my financial status.
You really don't understand the difference between buying a bigger, better TV and buying better headsets? Please tell me that was just a half-witted analogy... please...
Same general idea. Sure, one costs a shitload more money, but it's still to improve the experience. Please don't tell me you're getting worked up over a forum post... please.
If I was rich I'd say "screw the headphones" and just pay off anyone that was close enough to complain about the noise output from my epic audio setup.
