After downloading the new free app., LogTenSim this morning, i was anxious to download one of the X-Plane apps., but just don't know which one to choose...

Does anyone have any idea which one is better? Please let me know your opinions if you have these...Thanks.

If you like general aircrafts get normal X-Plane
    U like airliners get Airliner
    U like helicopters get Helicopter
X-Plane normal IMO is the best and Airliner is challenging. Dont have Helicopter

I've got all three and actually thought that airliner was the most fun. It is a little more challenging with takeoffs and landings, plus it had more airports. Although he came out with an update and now there are a ton of airports in the original version.
You might even consider waiting a little while.. I emailed him the other day and he said he has a few more coming out soon. I specifically asked about xplane jet (my title) and he pretty much said that it was in the works.

I think the original is the best. The planes are more varied and more agile than airliners, and the locations are more interesting.

Helicopter is the weakest of the three IMO.I like the challenge, but it's less immediately fun. Best to get this if you've already enjoyed one of the plane apps and want to move on.

I really love X-Plane Helicopter. It has a much higher learning curve, but I think that makes it much more interesting. It depends on the person. I have the original and Helicopter and I think they're both great.

I think that is more geared towards the desktop versions. I suppose you could use it for the handheld versions, it would just require you to write things down to transfer into it later.

    OK...Here's another one.

Is there a tutorial, or do you just have to poke around and figure it out?

    I think i've decided on X-Plane 9...

    Anyone?

Anyone? Just a yes or no...

    Is there a tutorial on X-Plane 9?

Also, once in flight, can you land when the trip is over?

There's no tutorial in the game, just some very basic instructions when you start the app.

Check out the x-plane web site for more detailed instructions.

Yes, you can land. That's the best, certainly the most challenging part.

You can even make it really foggy and use the instruments to find the runway.
