-I'll have to find a way to get iTunes radio to work outside the US -Still no clear all in the notification center/multitasking -The weather app is basically a reintegration of the current Yahoo app -Siri still seems pretty dumb/can't recognize my accent -the new multitasking features will probably be a battery guzzler -Other points which I forgot while typing this post iOS 7 looks pretty and is a good upgrade by all means..however I don't think it's perfect
The contacts app on the iPad is the PRIME example of where skeuomorphic design hinders function. in portrait mode, you have an address "book" that only uses a square in the center of the screen with blank space above and below. Again, I am so happy Jony Ive is getting rid of that non-sense. I love iOS, I really do, and in some cases the skeuomorphism doesn't get in the way too much (in the calendar for example). in fact the calendar app is where it looks nicest. looks the worst in Contacts, Find my Friends (so...much...stitching...), and GameCenter.
Oh, you mean on iPad. Well it's good you decided not to hinder the function of this conversation by being vague. Yeah, it's not the best for function, but on the same token... you're using an iPad in portrait? Are you high?
The new Gamecenter icon looks hideous. On the other hand, I really don't mind some of the OS changes. I can deal with it when it comes out later in the year.
iPad mini 2 and iPhone 5s/6 weren't really expected to be there. They'll most likely have their own conference.
Sorry, you have the iPad listed as the device you own. Sorry, that is what I get for assuming... As far as using the iPad in portrait mode, of course I do. I only use it in landscape when I am playing a game or watching a movie. Otherwise, it is more comfortable to hold it in portrait mode. About the only thing they could have mentioned that would have made that announcement better would have been an increase in the max app size from 2GB to 4GB. I guess we may have to wait longer for games like Morrowind and Oblivion. There's always iOS8 for San Andreas (which won't come out until next year anyway).
Like the new design. Think Game Center looks like crap still though. Dunno why, but the new style feels like a mix between Windows Phone and iOS with a little Android thrown in.
While that's nice for an empty bookshelf, but I do use it on my iPad, and I could at least see quickly if any magazines had updated just by looking at the icon. But I think I'll live
Controller support is gonna be awesome! Hello dual analogue FPS action! As for the design I agree that time will tell. I have have owned an iPhone since 2007 and use it heavily. It was all feeling really samey in ios6. I will enjoy just having a fresh experience in a couple months
The more I think about the MFi game controllers the more I think this is going to be huge for ios gaming
I was so sad when they announced the new Mac OS X version. They were drumming up anticipation by talking about what the next version will be called. They said they will run out of names for cats... and then they showed the logo for the new OS X! OS X Sea Lion! I was so excited. But then it was a joke. Pft. Mavericks... -.- whatevers.
