The green felt was awesome. This is sterile! Hope you enjoy hospital waiting rooms. The control center is nice, but where's my 3G switch? That's the only one I ever use, it's a battery saver.
I hope there's a way to disable that. I don't want to waste bandwidth on updates I'm not intending on using right away. Besides I don't want to be forced into those apps that were paid downgraded to some freemium crap or loaded with ads and stuff not there before.
But......I liked the green felt.... There's gotta be an off switch for that when it launches. I can't imagine them just allowing 2gb apps to automatically update.
I got a lot of pros and cons from that event. I'm not too keen on updating and redesigning things just for the sake of it. People tend to get excited because things are new and not necessarily because they're good. Time will tell.
Love this update! No more green felt in Gamecenter (which I hated)! No more skeuomorphic leather in the calendar and other apps! The ability to turn on the wifi, bluetooth, and do not disturb features in control center (though I agree, I wish there was an LTE toggle)! iTunes Radio (that has a no-ads option that is part of iTunes Match)! I really like the new look. Was disappointed by the boring iOS6 last year, so I think I might consider updating...early for this...
I know right. R.I.P. Unique and talented design. The thing that bugs me about the new UI is that any moronic hack can crap it out in seconds. There's nothing impressive about any of these designs whatsoever. It's pretty in the right place... but so easy. No effort required.
The music app and the multitasking looked great. The redesign? I'm not keen on the uber minimalist look, but I like the new functionality. I'll be updating my device.
