I'm pretty excited with just about everything offered in iOS 5, GC, and iCloud. Bout damn time you got with the program Apple!
I liked iOS5 when it was Android 1.6. And odd they mentioned nothing about streaming services with their iCloud.
It might be that Apple want to wait to see how the new data center handles the massive spike of people using the iCloud when iOS 5 is released to the public. Once the initial magic wears off (where people just use it for the sake of trying it out) it might come in a delta update. Although it's also possible that the caching patent was made just so we can start listening instantly to songs as they are being downloaded from the iCloud and streaming was never an option.
I think I'd still rather drag and drop to be honest. This is almost hand-holding to the point of not actually needing your hand held in the first place.
Downloading would be more efficient. When streaming you are viewing the file as is and if you want to watch it again you would be using those same resources again and again. But just like Apps that show one file size on the appstore and another file size "on device", the songs would be compressed and then uncompressed on our devices.
Welp, you have that option as well. You can simply choose the tracks which u want to download instead of syncing all of your new purchases.
Can't you just download, but listen to the track as it downloads just like streaming? Plenty of IM clients allow this.
ICloud is up at least for me!! Under updates i have Purchased and a little cloud icon next to each app! This is on my ipod touch 4g
I see it too. It's kind of interesting to look through the purchase history to see a timeline of your apps. I really hope they add in some way to remove apps from the list, because there is a crap ton of junk in there that I'd rather never see again.
Doubt it. That kind of defeats the purpose. What if crap junk app gets an update and it becomes good. I guess thats what the search feature is for. I would like to see a separate list for paid apps though. That would be a nice touch.
Just viewed the purchase list starting from the back. So freaking nostalgic, well, as nostalgic as two and a half years of time can be at least. The AppStore has come a long way. Seriously appreciating this new feature.
