Ah, so here's the paid portion of the show. $25 per year for iTunes Match. I dunno how that compares to other music streaming models, but I think I'll stick to physical storage.
Short answer: It utterly blows them out of the water. Especially considering the painless uploading, auto-upgrade to 256, and no DRM.
Haha, just after I read this I saw the comparison chart on the live blog. Quite intriguing. Will it just be for iOS devices, or could we possibly see this ported over to other devices such as Macs or PC's? I can see this being the future, but for the meantime, I think I'll stick with physical storage.
Only the keynote is over but WWDC is all week. Anyways, not a bad WWDC this year. I like the iCloud stuff. I'm glad I didn't renew my MobileMe last year. Also, I'm so glad iOS 5 is going to be avaliable for my 3GS.
Lion was meh (coz they already showed everthing last time) but IOS 5 and iCloud updates are awesome. I seriously cant think of anything else I want from Apple right now. Except of course, the delayed iPhone 5.
Landing page at Apple just switched over to feature the new stuff. There's probably some good answers there. www.Apple.com
Still though, $30 for a new OS is awesome. I paid $30 for Snow Leopard thinking Lion will be $129 again, like Leopard. So I'm glad about that. But I'm kinda annoyed they won't be offering any DVDs or USB sticks but eh, I guess this also works.
Still in beta though... don't need it just yet anyway so I'll wait It doesn't seem to offer anything besides the extra downloads feature.
The actual download hasn't yet been updated. It's still linked to 10.2.2, which most users here probably already have. I'm sure it'll be updated soon-ish. For now, though, hold off.
I think icloud is up. Got a notification asking to dl app from computer to my device. Or at least automatic downloads.
So what do you all make of the Game Center improvements for turn-based games? What exactly are the improvements? Those would seem to have a large impact on certain types of iOS gaming.
