There hasn't been any really deep wrestling management game that gives you control over promotions, fights, and everything else essential to a wrestling game on iOS(idk about this game, haven't tried it yet). I totally agree with you about Total Extreme Wrestling 2010, as it just nailed the idea of a wrestling simulation. I loved booking TV deals, managing many wrestlers and balancing their personalities, and especially the amount of customization it allowed, and above all, the ability to control most of the aspects of your promotion agency, and I liked that you could compete with rival agencies actively. This game really gives you a taste of an insider approach to pro wrestling. For simulation wrestling games, I would definitely say this is #1.
I haven't played it as the last TEW game I played was around 2003 I think. I didn't like the increased complexity over EWR. For me, EWR hit the sweet spot, and the only issue was the lack of multiplayer. If I had been able to compete against a friend (as opposed to taking turns and agreeing upon roster trades), it would have been my ideal version of the game.
I never really got too deep into EWR, as I felt that TEW was more suited to my tastes(ie TONS of depth). So I can't really say firsthand which is better. But regardless, when it comes to wrestling management/sims on the PC, I think its safe to say that TEW and EWR are the best picks.
Hey guys, this has made for some great reading. I've just chucked everyones name in the hat and picked out 3 winners. If I come back to this thread in a month and there's another few pages of posts, I'll pick some more winners. The winners this month are 1. Crex 2. Ace_Villarraya 3. SonicHydra Can you guys please email [email protected] to get your codes. Thanks.
Aww was hoping to score a code! Anyways for the winners if it isn't too troublesome could you guys post some game impressions? And how it compares to some of the prominent wrestling management games on the PC? That would be great!
If you are a "Test Flight" member, Wrestling Manager is now on there. I'm not 100% certain on the details but I'm told that it basically gives people test capabilities in return for some detailed reports on the game play. Hopefully the feedback we get from there will help us significantly iron out any remaining bugs. -Dan
It's basically a site where you can perform beta testing. You can provide builds for people through invites and then people can give you feedback through Testflight.
Well if you or anyone else is interested in participating in that. Please contact us, using the "contact us" form on WrestlingManagement.com and we'll see what we can do. -Dan
