I really enjoy this, it's a great ARPG and fun to play, visuals are stunning and gameplay is tight. Worth a buck? Hell yeah.
Volvo? They are owned by Ford now! I'd rather be like Range Rover or something. (they had a few bad years but are good now)
I didn't thibk twice. I bow own every Crescent Moon game, even though I haven't finished...err, any . Now to buy all of the...what's their new casual division's name, Forest Moon? Anyway, they continue to release highly polished ios games, virtually bugless on release, with no iaps, and no crippling updates. Have they released a stinkbomb here and there? One 3d sidescroller that I can think of. But...and I often mock those who constantly preach supporting indie devs, since it often ends up biting you in the *** when they decide to "monetize" there products further...devs like Crescent Moon deserve to be supported. At least for anyone who wants ios gaming to remain viable, and believes that doing right by your customers is worth money.
Hi Card, We are focused more as an Action-RPG and are working on new content updates on an ongoing basis. Yes, we have abilities and unlockable spells, though the abilities is are somewhat unexplained. We will be creating an online tips page on our website in the very near future to help players. Loot *may or may not* be in the works. What kind of stats are you referring to? Health, experience, mana, etc? Or player kills, world ranking, etc? What interests you more as a player?
No...Ford sold them. Yes, my last Volvo, a 2002 S60 was a Ford, and while the plastic fobs constantly fell off, that 5 cyl Swedish engine could drive me to hell and back. My '10 S60 convertible is Volvo through and through...though they are owned by Geely Holding Group now (a Chinese company). It's all Swedish design and manufacturing.
By loot, I believe he's referring to "Diablo-style" weapon/armor drops, due to the overhead view and hack-and-slash nature of the gameplay.
So I take it no one here is experiencing the crashing issues I am? Every time I even try and start a game, I choose the slot, and the game craps out on me....
I grabbed this after being on the fence too. I'm swimming in unplayed games but I can throw a buck at Crescent Moon, especially in light of the Aralon freebie (which I already own.) Not sure when I'll get to it though.
Hi syntheticvoid, We had the same problem while testing. This is usually because your device has run out of memory. This was fixed by restarting the device. Try turning your iPhone/iPod/iPad off and then on again to refresh the memory. It's a fairly common issue for games running real-time 3D engines. Please let us know how you make out.
Same here on my iPad 2, just bought the game, can't play it. And I've rebooted, even used the 'kill all processes to free up memory' from SBSettings (a jailbreak tweak, but I really never needed to use this 'free up memory' thing) and the game crashes right after I choose a slot. The only time this kind of thing happened was on Infiity Blade 2 but a reboot solved it.
I'll give this one a go to support Crescent Moon..hopefully no crashes on my device.(Ipad 4). Looks good.
I bought this and (as stated in the description) it didn't work on my touch 4th gen. Not sure what the description says about iPad 2, but it should work. Runs with no crashing on the 5th gen touch. Haven't gotten too far into it due to playing other games though. From what I have played, it seems like a pretty decent game. I would still rank it behind Bastion, Pocket rpg, Solomon's Keep, Orc: vengeance, Bards tale and Secret of Mana. Still, if you enjoy the genre, it's well worth the download I thought. Hope you guys can get it working on the iPad 2.
It says it does work on the iPad 2. I tried rebooting, safe mode (when you reboot with every JB tweak disabled and also notification center so the device actually has more memory than a non-JB one), nothing works. Not happy about buying a game that crashes when I select a slot. FWIW, I subsequently ran Avengers Initiative, Infinity Blade, Walking Dead and Darkness Rush: Saving Princess (Unreal powered runner) without even closing the others before and they all ran fine.
Dunno if it'll work Kioshi (my device isn't jail broke - don't mean anything negative blah blah), but after I deleted and then reinstalled the game, I didn't have the issue again.
I was hoping for your feedback. Glad it worked for you, tried the same now (uninstalled, did a reboot pressing power + home for 10 seconds, reinstalled) and oh well same thing, click on the new game slot, it shows 'loading' and crashes after 5 seconds. It's weird because I never had a problem here, I JB'ed my iPad for 3 light tweaks I really love (paid ones so I don't wanna un-JB) so it's not like I changed a theme or did something that heavily reduces RAM like I saw on some iPhones that my friends really changed the whole thing but they also got Android-like funcionality (very open but also a bit laggy and more crash prone - my iPhone is a bit laggy sometimes because of JB too but my iPad never had problems with any game except IB 2 but a simple reboot solved it)
Awesome, I hope 'some crashes' includes my iPad 2 which for some reason I just can't play no matter what I do. OTOH, my iPhone 4s ran it perfectly and without resetting or even closing the ton of apps I had opened before (it's also JB'ed and it's even a bit laggy systemwide because I installed a ton of customization tweaks so well go figure, hoping that the crashes have something to do specifically with the iPad2 since I barely tweaked it) But the game is simple enough and with good controls so I don't mind if I only get to play it on my iphone. Well maybe too early for feedback but I really see no need to draw runes since time pauses anyway so it's not like Infinity Blade where drawing the patterns are part of the strategy.
Just posting to say that the update made the game perfectly playable on my iPad 2, didn't even reboot or close other programs
