iPhone games are getting better. Modern Combat had really good touch controls. I'm fine with them now. But if it wasn't priced too high, I'd be willing to go for something for some of the bigger games. RPG's and Shooters is all I'd use it for.
But just because there is an add-on, doesn't meant that the iphone will lose its uniqueness. All I'm saying is that with this add-on, the iphone can cater to both the casual and hardcore gamers. Who needs a DS or a psp when they can just get the iphone? I'm a guy and I would appreciate it if I don't have to carry around 3 different handhelds with me. Besides, since the iphone is a phone, I will always have it with me.
i wouldn't buy this... if i do i might as well just get a psp or something.... the touch screen is what made the iphone better, and if you roll that out of the way its no more special than the psp or ds (imo)
i'll might get it because we cannot take away the fact that some games are meant to have buttons,if we really want iDevices to compete with other gaming devices or just devices, this will be the key,but iDevices can compete with its own uniquenes,i think Sandstorm controls is better than analog controls for console games,it feels more natural and comfortable.so this could be a big question to all of us.will we stick to how unique our iDevices's controls or we want more aside from its uniquenes?
hey what about two separate controller, not separate actually but can operate separately one with the directional buttons and one with the ab/square,circle,X,triangle buttons.both with shoulder buttons.i think it's best for MC:sandstorm, you attach the directional button controller on the left side and use the touch controls for aiming, shoulder button for shooting, isn't that amazing?'coz i think your thumb can't reach the screen if the controller is attached.you don't want to use your finger like a stylus for DS.LOL another crazy idea from my crazy mind, hahahahah
I thought this has been discussed a few times. First, back from the days of icontrolpad, then when OS 3.0 was released allowing apps to talk with add-ons.
Well, the DS has a touch screen and buttons, and pretty much anyone who knows anything about gaming will agree that it is the best handheld ever released. I don't see why having the iPhone copy the DS a bit would be a bad thing. Nintendo copied the iPhone with the DSi (which attempted to add the app store to the DS. It didn't work well though, because Nintendo wasn't as open as Apple is about indie devs).
