I don't know if anyone else addressed this, but what happens when you dont get a free app...? Im hoping it doesnt but hey, what if something happens?
well i thought it and asked it...but hey..its a problem...one day you may not be able to find a dev who wants there app to go away for free! would u pull an appvent and host a contest?
300,000+ worth of apps doesn't necessarily = most good apps, in fact only a fraction of those will probably be good 2) with you charging so much money, maybe its already time to invest more in the server running the website because the website has been having online/offline problems ever since i've visited there 3 spots a month is too little, 5-7 would be better and $200 seems more reasonable you think now your pricing structure isn't fair, Oh wait your talking bout reserving money on this site, screw that!!! this site should be free and free only. All devs involved in the original creation of the site should be the only ones allowed to have their apps featured on the side of website... or have a best 3 games of the month feature for FREE as well on the side. it'd be more useful if you included the apps name under each icon like the iphone app pages.. Thats it.
That's why we're waiting to see how many devs will respond. Since we got about 20 in 3 - 4 days (see the poll) I don't think it will be much of a problem. We will probably go to the Apple dev forum and post a thread about this there too.
In the unlikely event of a water landing, your seat cushion may be used as a flotation device. Erm...I mean...we could just feature another that happens to have gone free that day. Look through them all on appshopper or something, find one we like and promote it (email the developer to tell them).
TA Dev Promo While you are working to develop your site and again I am all for it!!! we talked it over here and we decided to have 3 slots/month at $250 reserved for TA Developer who meets our criteria. The TA Promo will start in March! and if you take into account the equation below taken from the last thread and do the math I think that it's more than great deal! 30 days x $8.33 = $250. Though this may be a good idea, you have advertised FAAD in this thread at least 3 times. I know you said a sentence relating to the thread in the post, but please stop advertising.

The idea of developers cooperating together is very good, the idea to giveaway your work for free, bad. I will join any good site, developers association that will present an innovative way to promote paid app and fight against this "free fall flow" of free in the appstore, this is not doing good for developers in the long run....
