Yes that's true. It will need devices with 256mb RAM, I tried to support the older devices but the ipad and iphone 4 screen resolution and the resulting problems with alpha shaders and the fillrate forces me to change the environment in a way that requires much more memory. the good side is that i can use a lot of more and better assets & eyecandy with more memory now.
New waves and first test of the new floating system (no other eyecandy like sky, foam, far away waves etc. - just waves and 2 submarines) - runs at 60 fps on the iPad. Movie taken from iPad screen with iPhone camera.
Still Waiting So any idea of a release date anybody? Any word of if it will support Retina Display and 4.0 multitasking?

Last I read was that this game has been pushed to 2011 because mark has some side projects. Go to the wota facebook page if you want to see for yourselve.

Joining the WOTA Facebook page is always a good idea to get updates about development or joining the newsletter on the homepage (but there was only one newletter so far) No, not an exclusive iPhone 5 game. All ARM7 based iOS devices will work. (iPhone3GS, iPod touch 3 (not the entry model), iPod touch 4, iPhone 4, iPad and later). But I must say the Alpha Shader / Fill Rate Problem on the Retina Display and on the large iPad screen makes development much harder.
