it seems like so far there have been no amazing apps that have come out in january.......i feel like so many developers rushed their apps out before christmas.....but they overlooked the fact that they would have gotton more attention if they released their app in january can anyone give me an example of a good app that has come out in january 2011
Yeah, I agree. It's been a pretty dull month so far for iOS gaming. But on the bright side, at least we have Dead Space to look forward to.
We might see some nice titles here and there but I don't think a big string of games will come out till around the iPad 2 release. The debs have the 4.3 sdk on are probably testing on it considering 4.2.1 has only a few months left, kit doesn't seem prudent to launch any title that wasn't already close to done before the new iOS drops sometime in April (I'm guessing)
I don't think iOS updates have ever been the cause for a lull in game releases before... or new hardware for that matter.
It's been a great month for me, not in terms of games coming out, but more me finicky out about them late! I got Max Adventure and Uber Racer and Snocross! More than I got from all the Dec 16th releases!
Gameloft has a whole bunch of stuff piling up and some of that might come out soon. ( Thursday ) Also I picked up braid and Precipice of Darkness at the Mac App Store which are both great games.
I've come across plenty of interesting new indie apps from people here. It doesn't always have to be big name developers making cool stuff.
Just because December was huge doesn't mean its going to happen every month. I don't know why people expect more and more big name games each month. We should just be glad to get a couple.
