There is only a version of Worms on PSN, not Worms 2: Armaggedon. I love Worms on iPhone and PS3. Has the update been submitted yet?
Is anybody else sick of having to pay for unfinished games? I'm glad to see this update coming, but it should never have shipped without these tweaks.
I just got minigore and im so surprised how polish the game is and am very appreciative, i do agree , hence i dont buy apps post haste
Minigore is polish and smooth. Totally worth 99c. I'd said this many times. Do not buy half-done, beta-status games with promises of updates and such. That will only encourage devs to put out more and more unfinished crap with promises to update them later. If a game came out and is crap, don't recommend it to others on this forum by telling them the devs will fix all the 10,000 problems with it in the next update. You are promising things that you don't know for sure will happen or not, UNLESS of course if you are the dev. In that case, SHAME ON YOU.
Funny, I was just thinking that Minigore is a classic example of an unfinished game. There isn't any content in it. Just one level, just 2 weapons, just 4 enemies. The achievements haven't even been added yet; it is just an empty list. Minigore is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. They release a 1 level demo, promising to add more to the game after they already get your money. Who is to say how much they're really going to do?
Minigore is unfinished! too little weapons, no achievements and only one map. But back to the topic: This update is taking long!
Be careful saying "the emperor has no clothes" about Minigore around here, you're likely to get your head cut off. But yeah, I was pretty dismayed by the lack of content in Minigore too. It's great if stuff is coming in future updates but I've been burned too many times to trust that, and besides the only game you can really comment on is the one in front of you. And in Minigore's case it just feels like an I.O.U. for a better game to come. Hope Worms is improved as well, these changes sound like a good start but it's still not living up to the really high expectations that come with the series.
Read the reviews then I don't like paying for unfinished games either so I read the reviews of Worms and they told me not to buy (yet). It's not like a load of the issues weren't documented even in the earliest reviews and yet people have gone ahead and bought it anyway in droves. This sends out the message to developers that it is ok to release games in little better than a beta test state.
For me the negative reviews were the reason not to buy Worms on the iPhone yet. I still have a lot of fond memories of the series though, dating back to the good old Amiga. If the update indeed fixes the lags on a 3G, I am sure gonna buy this game.
The game doesn't lag on all iPhone 3G's! It runs fine on my friend's 3G, and my iPod touch 2G, The controls are fine WTF IS EVERYONE COMPLAINING ABOUT!!??!?!? *cough*
How about TEXT labels for your Armaments?? Right now unless your a Worms fan you have NO idea what each is.
Well, I just bought the game because I know an update is on the way and to me the 1.0 version of the game does indeed feel quite slow.
When your turn comes up, pause the game and tap help. There is a "weapons help" menu option right there that describes each weapon. Do your homework.
That doesn't seem the least bit inelegant to you? Ohhhh wait, I see, you just wanted to write something condescending without thinking the situation over at all.
