When they wake up, they're in a theme park under the sea. Reycho and the others are trapped inside this strange, long-abandoned place. Suddenly, from out of nowhere, a mysterious clown appears and orders them to play a "Fate Game"! Before any of them can figure out what's happening, they're fighting for their very lives. Will they be able to survive and make it out of this weird place? The kids are all lost and confused... But then, extraordinary powers begin to awaken within them. Writing is boring / clichéd, and gameplay portions feel tacked on. Just arrived at the second location, but I already don‘t feel like wanting to continue anymore. Maybe this game isn‘t for me. Or do others think as well, that it‘s not good? EDIT: Ok, it opens up a little. But still, it feels like a rather childish and boring visual novel so far. Maybe simply not my genre, if this is standard. DonnyDJ76 Well-Known Member Nov 1, 2011 1,793 58 48 Male Teacher Hackensack, NJ #5 DonnyDJ76, Sep 4, 2020 Agreed. If AA continues to release these titles that are narrative driven adventures, where is the arcade element and replay value? But most importantly...arcade? Player retention? Namco can take PAC-Man, (not the heinous Party Royale), integrate simple gameplay with minimal production values and turn it into an AA game where the possibilities are endless. (Leveling up characters, ghosts, daily log in bonus, being able to play as Clyde as he is unlocked by passing levels etc.) squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,714 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #6 squarezero, Sep 4, 2020 I think you are interpreting the word “Arcade” way too literally. I think it’s great to have a mix of gameplay styles on a service like AA, but if there’s a gap that it should fill, it’s premium narrative games — there are already plenty of arcady experiences in the App Store (though many of them are filled with predatory IAPs). Personally, I think it’s fantastic to have more games that have clear beginnings, middles, and endings. I have too many games that expect long-term commitments from me. Looking forward to giving this a whirl. L.Lawliet likes this. Spent too many hours at Mr. Arcade and Aladdin’s Castle in the Nanuet Mall. Play this with a controller, and you might have a great time. L.Lawliet likes this. Colin Henderson Member Dec 12, 2018 12 6 3 Male #8 Colin Henderson, Sep 6, 2020 Lots of controversy around this one because the developer tweeted that it’s essentially “part 1” and the full game will be released on Switch next year. Here’s my thing...I’m pretty sure the Apple Arcade agreement doesn’t allow for other consoles to get “special treatment,” so I’m sure we’ll get a major update once the game releases on Switch. Second, the game we have now is a little more than 10 hours long, which is a decent length. I’m happy with what we have, and people need to calm down. People were trying to get the developer to elaborate on Twitter, but I think we were dealing with a potential language barrier as the developer was not really answering properly and using broken English.
