Hi Guys, Just like to announce WSC 2010 has now been submitted. Hoping for a smooth run through Apple Aproval and will be with you shortly! Special Introductory price of £1.19 / $1.99 Full support and updates are planned for the next year, all of which will be free to all users. A Lite version is not currently planned, but we may do one if we have time. Gameplay videos full of awesome goals are being put togther in the coming days to give you all a taste of the good stuff! Elton
will you do a lite version?? Id like a soccer game fun&playable I found the various PES,FIFA,X2&RF pretty boring
Bit of a hiccup with the videos due to the footage I recorded with a HD cam deciding to crash the editing software / media player etc. on my PC. Trying to resolve at the moment. I'll upload a couple of extra goal clips to YouTube in the short term.
App status is still "In Review" with Apple.. shouldn't be long now! Join our facebook page for the latest news, as well as sneak previews of our next games:- just search for Uprising Games on facebook
Sorry to inform you we had a submission problem (Apple didn't like the way we listed our downloadable team packs for 'Historic Tournament' mode) which has required a resubmission. Hopefully just delayed release a couple of days..
ahh so this isnt the game on the appstore i seen today. dynamite super pro world championship 2010 (nice name lol) or sommit like that. the game looked very simular but not quite as good really hope apple get this one blasted thru quickly! edit: btw, how many game options do this have? is there a tournament and league mode for instance.
Hmm, will have to look that game up! In terms of Game Modes, WSC doesn't feature leagues (mainly due to it being themed around (*unofficial*) world cups. We have custom tounaments for 8 - 32 teams, as well as the World Tounament (full groups stages -> knockout). If using a Historic Team pack (1966 & 1986 are available as downloads at launch), World Tounament changes to Historic Tournament, and all the results you don't influence will follow historic data. This includes which teams meet each other going into the knock out rounds too. Then there's Friendly, 2 player link, and 2 player on 1 device. (which is a bit fiddly, to be honest, but passable for a kick about!) A League option is something we'll look at adding for our post world cup update, which will of course be free to existing owners. If there's anything you'd like to see going forward, do drop us an email at [email protected] and we'll certainly let you know if it's something we've got in mind. Oh, and yes, I wish Apple would hurry up and approve it too! Elton
One thing I'm keen to know, is:- How retro do you like it?? In WSC, we've got an analogue pad / running direction, and we've got 2 buttons, for lobbing etc. During development, we did also have it 8-way, and lobs were done with yanking the dpad in the opposite direction to your running direction. I was going to offer a mode in the options for this, but due to time constraints (tuning AI for both modes) we decided to leave this out the initial release. likewise, we've also set "dribble assist" (ball stickiness to the feet) to ON by default, as we felt people who might have no Kick off / Sensi experience might find it way too hard to play! (Hard IS good, right??) [EDIT- the option to turn Dribble Assist OFF is still there, don't fret Kick Off veterans!] I'd really like to know if a full "Retro" mode is something players would like to have in the 1st update? I'll repost this question in the main forum when the games' out, but would like to know the opinions of all of you who have been interested enough to follow us pre-launch on this thread! For the fist update to the title, I'm currently planning to add an extra difficulty setting I'm calling "Human", which will offer the most authentic AI experience to a human opponent, as well as some basic game-play tuning from the feedback we receive from players. Thanks, Elton [planning update 1 and the game's not even out yet! ]
For me the options you talk seem to fit perfectly but only when playing the game will i see what is best to play it... But for me i think you could fit the options in the update.... (more control options and harder modes are always good ) and yeah hard is good glad to see we're waiting to see the launch of the game and updates are already being planed Still waiting for the... no news from apple yet?
I would like a "Full Retro Mode", but I really don't know if I could play it with virtual controls... I see you tested it: did this mode work in a funny way? Hard is good, ok, but fun is better.
The good news is WSC went back to "In Review" from "Waiting for Review" very quickly last night after resolving the issues with the Team Packs. Small chance we could be on sale late tonight. (I'm pretty sure Apple Approval still goes on during weekends) Regarding Full Retro Mode.. I'll obviously wait for more feedback once the game is out. But thanks for sending your opinions through now. Elton
WSC is now approved for sale and will be available from 27/06/2010.. that means Midnight tonight! Elton
